  • Patent number: 8326753
Abstract: A new medium of tender employs both a primary barcode and a merchant specific extension barcode that are both associated with specific consumers. The system operates within preexisting merchant platforms and links merchant systems, POS systems, inventory systems, SKU systems, barcode readers and a server. The system allows the ready linking and access of consumer transaction related information including purchase history, credit information, merchandise details and similar information. It further allows for the ready remittance of payment via the ACH network through the eCache computer network or other funding networks based on criteria established by the merchant itself. It further facilitates the administration of consumer rewards or loyalty programs and also facilitates consignment arrangements between suppliers and merchants.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 1, 2011
Date of Patent: December 4, 2012
    Inventors: Frank Easterly, Clifford Mason

Abstract: A new medium of tender employs both a primary barcode and a merchant specific extension barcode that are both associated with specific consumers. The system operates within preexisting merchant platforms and links merchant systems, POS systems, inventory systems, SKU systems, barcode readers and a server switch. The system allows the ready linking and access of consumer transaction related information including purchase history, credit information, merchandise details and similar information. It further allows for the ready remittance of payment via the ACH network through the eCache computer network or other funding networks based on criteria established by the merchant itself. • Publication number: 20110208659
Abstract: A method for making financial transactions uses a proprietary server and network in communication with a merchant's point of sale (POS) terminal and a customer's smart phone. The smart phone runs an application that generates or downloads from the server a two dimensional barcode containing encrypted information. The barcode display is scanned at the POS, and transaction information is returned to the proprietary server for processing as an ACH or a conventional transaction.

  • Patent number: 4308494
Abstract: A thyristor power controller for rapidly varying the current delivered to a load and including: a clock circuit for developing a clock pulse for each zero crossing of an AC source, an analog phase circuit responsive to an adjustment current and operative to produce a firing signal for each clock pulse, a first thyristor acting on a positive half cycle of an AC source, a second thyristor acting on a negative half cycle of an AC source, a first thyristor control circuit enabling and disabling the first thyristor, a second thyristor control circuit enabling and disabling the second thyristor, and a thyristor selector operative to route the firing signal to the first or second control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4012669
Abstract: A device for detecting a persisting electrical overload in an electrical system includes means for monitoring an electrical parameter in the electrical system and for generating an electrical signal whose magnitude represents the instantaneous absolute value of the parameter, reference means which generates an output signal of predetermined value and which develops, in cooperation with the monitoring means, an electrical signal whose magnitude represents the amount by which the magnitude of the absolute value signal exceeds the predetermined value, integrator means to integrate the aforementioned electrical signal and to generate an output whose magnitude includes a component representative of the product of the electrical signal and a time-increasing value that represents the duration that an overload has persisted; and comparator means to continuously compare the magnitude of the integrator output signal with a second preselected value and which generates an indicative output whenever the integrator output
