Abstract: Tide change apparatus and methodology for converting tidal energy into usable mechanical and electrical energy using wedge-hinge assemblies. Electricity is generated by transfer of mechanical energy from both incoming and outgoing tidewaters to an electrical generator. A pair of wedge-hinge assemblies mounted atop semi-submersible barges to enable water to alternately flow into and out of a retention pond relative to a corresponding main body of water in accordance with natural tidal flow.

A safely and efficiently operating power generator that makes a minimal intrusion upon the environment is provided comprising a low horsepower gasoline-powered engine which drives a permanent magnet 12-volt AC/DC generator having a built-in electronic governor circuit for sustaining a constant DC output. Constructed with a flexible coupling between the gasoline-powered engine and the generator, and a suitably sized resonator and inherent governor circuit, the invention affords a constant output and quiet operation for use in vehicles, on water craft, and in the field to provide electricity for illumination or for operating common 12-volt appliances.

Abstract: An apparatus for purifying water that uses a synchronous combination of a worm gear and spring assembly that delivers constant mechanical energy for sustaining continuous filtration operations without the concomitant repetitious cranking that has been commonly prerequisite in the art. A simple means for storing energy as a ready reservoir for pressure-driving an aqueous solution through semipermeable membranes to produce purified water. An electric motor may be provided particularly to support mass production of fresh water from salt water. The electric motor is preferably applied intermittently to engender sufficient energy storage to sustain continuous filtration.
