    Abstract: A connecting element for attaching fingers of a hovercraft skirt to its loop is formed from two identical pieces of elastomer-coated fabric which are bonded together over part of their faces to form a portion to which adjacent side faces of adjacent fingers are secured and which are left unbonded over part of their faces to provide a pair of flaps which are out-turned in mutually opposite directions at right angles to the bonded portion to be secured to the material of the loop.
