  • Patent number: 7478704
Abstract: A wheeled cart includes a lift platform mounted for vertical movement on a frame, an actuating system for effecting movement of the platform, a brake system acting against a wheel to prevent movement of the cart, a tank containing compressed air and an air conduit system for directing compressed air to the actuating system and the brake system.

  • Patent number: 7380515
Abstract: An anti-cavitation plate actuating system incorporates pressurized air selectively applied through a control valve to an air assist cylinder. The cylinder, when pressurized, applies force to anti-cavitation plate return springs; the force is not sufficient to expand or retract the springs but merely to apply a pre-load. A control pedal operating through a control shaft applies additional force through an actuating shaft connected through a control lever to the anti-cavitation plate to lower the plate.

  • Patent number: 6067849
Abstract: A tire support structure capable of spreading the beads of a tire for inspection and repair is supported by a mechanism for raising and lowering the structure. This permits the structure to be positioned in a lower position at a convenient height for a worker in an adjoining working position and permits the structure to be raised to an elevated position for retrieving a tire from an overhead conveyor system or delivering a tire to the conveyor system. A work bench is preferably located adjacent the worker position for supporting tools and supplies for repairing the tire.

  • Patent number: 5562773
Abstract: A support structure supports and rotates a tire in an upright position. An open ended spray chamber is movable to receive a portion of a tire. Spray nozzles in the spray chamber spray conditioning liquid onto the tire as the latter is rotated on the support structure. The spray chamber is movable away from the tire to give free access to the tire. A blower associated with the spray chamber draws air into the open end of the chamber to prevent sprayed liquid from exiting the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5460036
Abstract: A tire support structure with mechanisms for rotating and spreading a tire is mounted for rotation atop a stationary pedestal. A mechanism under control of an operator/inspector standing at a work station alternatively prevents and permits the support structure to rotate. The work station also contains controls for the tire rotating and the tire spreading mechanisms. Primary and secondary lighting arrangements illuminate the tire being inspected.

  • Patent number: 5165273
Abstract: The support structure of tire inspection apparatus is provided with a parallelogram system which permits the structure to be elevated to an inspection position and lowered to a loading position. A ramp is associated with a pair of parallelogram system legs at the forward end of the support structure to facilitate loading of heavy tires.
