  • Publication number: 20230140245
Abstract: A communication system for controlling and varying medical instrument monitoring of patients and switching between synchronous and asynchronous monitoring is provided comprising a data analytics system and a dongle including a microcontroller and an antenna in communication with the microcontroller. The dongle is configured to receive data from a medical instrument, and the data includes one more metrics being measured by the medical instrument. The dongle is configured to send periodic signals of a first frequency to the medical instrument. When one or more of the metrics exceeds a pre-determined boundary parameter or one or more aggregated metrics generate a high patient risk score, the dongle increases the frequency of the periodic signals.

  • Publication number: 20200258625
Abstract: Computer-implemented server-neutral communications architecture and method of analyzing, authenticating and transmitting medical data independent of a server are provided. Exemplary server-neutral communications architecture includes a communication device including a housing and a transceiver circuit, a processor, and a battery disposed within the housing, one or more medical instruments, and a data analytics system. The medical instruments collect data from a medical patient and transmit the data relating to the medical patient directly to the communication device. The data analytics system determines which data come from a particular medical instrument. Advantageously, the medical instruments communicate directly with the communication device independent of transmitting the data through a server. The communication device communicates information about a patient's medical condition directly to a mobile device or a workstation.

  • Publication number: 20200111568
Abstract: Computer-implemented patient proxies and methods of generating and presenting patient proxies are provided comprising aggregated data relating to a patient outputted by one or more medical instruments, one or more boundary parameters for the data, a data analytics system, a communications system, and an alarm. The data analytics system determines which data comes from a particular medical instrument and whether any data is outside the boundary parameters, and determines whether a patient may experience an adverse event through comparisons between the patient's progression and trends and an adverse event repository. The communications system communicates information about a patient's medical condition based on the data determinations of the data analytics system. The alarm sounds when selected data is outside pre-determined boundary parameters or a particular medical instrument has stopped functioning or changed its rate, or if a patient may experience an adverse event.

  • Publication number: 20180315492
Abstract: Communication devices and systems and methods of analyzing, authenticating, and transmitting medical information are provided herein. A communication device includes a housing, a transceiver circuit, a processor, and a battery circuit. The transceiver circuit has a communication channel. The processor is in communication with the transceiver circuit. The communication channel receives medical data from at least one medical instrument. The transceiver circuit transmits the medical data to a network or server. Disclosed systems and methods collect, analyze and build a proxy of patient health and response to treatment, securely authenticate, encrypt, and transmit data medical instruments to nurses and the EMR for use by medical professionals.
