  • Publication number: 20070123446
Abstract: A process for making ionic liquids containing ion actives, which provide fabric treating benefits, surface treating benefits and/or air treating benefits. The ionic liquid is made from an ion active feedstock and an ionic liquid forming counterion feedstock, which preferably comprises another ion active.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 14, 2006
    Publication date: May 31, 2007
Inventors: Corey Kenneally, Stacie Hecht, Scott Cron
  • Publication number: 20060106255
Abstract: A process for preparing long chain internal fatty tertiary amines, quaternary amines and amine oxides via the selection of long chain internal olefins.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 10, 2005
    Publication date: May 18, 2006
    Inventors: Corey Kenneally, Jeffrey Scheibel
  • Publication number: 20060094617
Abstract: A benefit agent delivery system comprises a benefit agent, wherein the benefit agent is protected or stabilized by an ionic liquid and wherein the benefit agent is releasable from the system to provide the benefit. For example, the ionic liquid may be physically associated with the benefit agent, such as by coating, encapsulation, or co-crystallization, or may be chemically associated with the benefit agent, such as by chemical reaction. The benefit agent delivery system may be in the form of a concentrate, in a product formulation, or on or associated with a substrate or package. Detergent compositions may include the benefit agent delivery system. Methods for cleaning a soiled substrate comprise contacting a soiled substrate with such a composition, and removing soil from the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20050135990
Abstract: Process for the conversion of sodium bromide to anhydrous hydrobromic acid and sodium bisulfate, said process with the following sequential steps: reaction of sodium bromide and sulfuric acid in a solution of water to produce hydrobromic acid and sodium bisulfate wherein the conversion of sodium bromide is greater than about 99%; adsorption of iron bromide onto a solid adsorbent; separation of hydrobromic acid and water from the sodium bisulfate; separation and drying of hydrobromic acid; and solidification of the sodium bisulfate into a flaked or granular form.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 19, 2004
    Publication date: June 23, 2005
