  • Patent number: 9567244
Abstract: In a process for separating a solid material from a suspension of the solid material in water, an organopolysiloxane polyalkylene oxide copolymer comprising a branched organopolysiloxane structure is added to the suspension of solid material in water and the suspension is drained. The organopolysiloxane polyalkylene oxide copolymer comprising a branched organopolysiloxane structure increases the rate of drainage of the suspension.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 2012
Date of Patent: February 14, 2017
Assignees: DOW CORNING TORAY CO., LTD., DOW CORNING CORPORATION
Inventors: Tatsuo Souda, Jianren Zeng, Sung-Hsuen Chao, Serge Creutz, Alain Hilberer, Corina Pagnoni, Fabian Rouffiange, Haruhiko Furukawa
  • Patent number: 9487736
Abstract: A granulated antifoam composition comprising an antifoam, a siloxane wax binder, and a carrier. The antifoam includes a hydrophobic fluid wherein the hydrophobic fluid has a surface tension which is greater than or approximately equal to the dynamic surface tension of an aqueous dispersion of the detergent at above the critical micelle concentration of the surfactant and less than about 62 mN/m. The antifoam further includes a finely divided solid hydrophobic filler dispersed in the hydrophobic fluid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 2012
Date of Patent: November 8, 2016
    Assignee: Dow Corning Corporation
Inventors: Laurence Gallez, Corina Pagnoni, Christel Simon, Nicolas Ziolkowski
