  • Patent number: 4083706
Abstract: A trap accessory, for selective coupling between a suction conduit and an aspirator includes: an elongated housing having a through passage; an elongated retainer slidably received in the housing passage, and having a through passage; and a filter element retained in the housing passage by said retainer. The housing is provided with a coupling nipple for coupling to a complementary coupling orifice in the suction conduit; and the retainer is provided with a coupling orifice for coupling to a complementary coupling nipple of the aspirator. The suction conduit and suction appliance have complementary coupling members, and are adapted to be coupled directly together in the absence of the trap accessory.

  • Patent number: 4053959
Abstract: An elongated handle, of rectangular cross-section, has a round, flatted brush head mounted at either one end or both ends. The brush head, according to the invention is fabricated from an originally linear, twisted wire frame having a central core portion which secures diametral bristles which effectively project radially from the core portion, and free end portions. The core portion is formed into a circular core, with the free end portions extending transversely and being secured in an axial recess in the handle. The formed brush head, then, approximates a spherical head having opposite flatted sides. The handle end to which a head is secured is preferably bent at an obtuse angle, with the plane of one head core being transverse to the handle plane defined by the main handle portion and bent handle portion. When a second head of similar construction is mounted at the opposite end of the handle, the plane of the second head core is coincident with the above mentioned handle plane.

  • Patent number: 3958573
Abstract: Aspirator and aspirators assemblies, particularly adapted for use by dentists and oral surgeons, include a tubular member having an adaptor tip at one end which is configured to coact with varying sizes of suction hose and/or adaptors whereby the aspirator is readily useable regardless of the type of vacuum utility service provided by the building. The adaptor tip is configured to have a smaller diameter tapered portion to be received in and coupled to a small diameter suction hose, a larger diameter portion at its proximal end dimensioned to be received within and coupled to an intermediate diameter suction hose, and with the larger diameter portion dimensioned to coact with an adaptor dimensioned to be received within and coupled to a large diameter suction hose by means of which the aspirator tip is coupled to such large hose.
