Patent number: 9262749Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating parking permits reports for a parking permit system. The method includes aggregating parking permit data for each zone within the parking permit system into a logical grouping in a database. Then processing data according to report generation instructions. The data is then parsed to obtain a requested report and the report is distributed to a specified party.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2012Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: IPT LLCInventors: Josiah Johnson, Cory Marchasin, Chad Collins, Avinash Sridhar, Gad Moshe Berger

Publication number: 20120215596Abstract: A permit enforcement system is a computer-implemented system that enforces parking rights within a parking zone. The system may include a processor(s) that allows the system to first capture parked vehicle images within the parking zone during a specified time period. The images are then transmitted to a computing system with a time and date stamp and geographic location. The images are processed to obtain vehicle identifiers. The processor then queries a permit database to compile a list of vehicles permitted to park in the parking zone during the specified time period. This list is compared the vehicle identifiers and the vehicles identifiers which were not authorized to park within the parking zone during the specified time period are identified. These vehicle are then associated with owner information using an outside entity database and vehicle owners are notified of the violations.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2012Publication date: August 23, 2012Applicant: IPT LLCInventors: Josiah Johnson, Cory Marchasin, Chad Collins, Avinash Sridhar, Gad Moshe Berger

Publication number: 20120215595Abstract: A parking permit system that allows a permit applicant to electronically apply for a permit. Once the applicant submits application data, the system will automatically verify the applicant data by comparing the applicant data against a system database. Once verified, the system will automatically, qualify parking rights associated with the permit application by applying the parking rights to a set of rules governing a parking zone. Once the application data is verified and the parking rights are qualified, the system will issue the parking permit.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2012Publication date: August 23, 2012Applicant: IPT LLCInventors: Josiah Johnson, Cory Marchasin, Chad Collins, Avinash Sridhar, Gad Moshe Berger

Patent number: 8219442Abstract: A system and method for managing a permit-based parking environment governed by a parking program. The permit-based parking environment includes a number of parking permits each including a unique RFID tag and tag number. One or more RFID readers are used to scan the vehicles parked in the parking environment to determine if a RFID tag is associated with the parked vehicle. The results of the scan along with information related to the parked vehicle are provided to a permit management system to determine if the vehicle is parked within the scope of privileges pre-defined for that vehicle, pursuant to the parking program governing the parking environment. The permit management system stores, manages, and monitors data related to the permits controlled under the parking program.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2005Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: IPT, LLCInventors: Josiah Johnson, Lawrence Berman, Cory Marchasin, Patrick Moynihan

Patent number: 7988046Abstract: A PDA device is used to record the ID of a vehicle boot RFID tag and to transmit to the tag and to a host entity violation data such as summons number, license number, time and date stamp, issuing person ID, location of the vehicle, scofflaw data and so on. This data may be entered into the PDA electronically via a communication network such as the internet or LAN system or manually via a keyboard. The host entity has a data base which is uploaded with this information and has correlation of RFID tag numbers to an unlock combination number for each boot. When the boot is attached to a vehicle this PDA data is transmitted to the host entity whose contact telephone number is attached to the vehicle being booted. The driver contacts the entity to pay the fine and receive in return the unlock combination. The driver thus can release and remove the boot within minutes of returning to the vehicle and can return the boot at his leisure.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2008Date of Patent: August 2, 2011Assignee: IPT, LLCInventors: Patrick Moynihan, Larry Berman, Cory Marchasin, Josiah Johnson
