  • Publication number: 20160143704
Abstract: A handle instrument system and method of using the handle instrument system. The handle instrument has a receiver on an end of the handle instrument. The handle instrument receives points directly from a container. The points are positioned generally vertically within the container, and are retained in the container in the generally vertical orientation that permits the points to be conveniently selected and picked from the container using the handle instrument. A point picked from the container and connected to the handle instrument is ready for use. The points are preferably arranged in kits such as containers for ease of identification. In some cases, the points are capable of being manually deformed to a shape and architecture as desired by the operator.

  • Patent number: 9084718
Abstract: A device that is useful in forming an occupation for an edentulous space, and a method of forming the device. The device is formed by filling a tube with an ultraviolet (UV) light curable composite, and subsequently curing the light curable composite in situ. The tube is transparent, or substantially transparent, to ultraviolet (UV) light. The tube may be open at each end thereof.

  • Publication number: 20150033435
Abstract: The present invention is a napkin or bib that protects clothing of the user. The napkin or bib has an adhesive that holds the napkin or bib in position when the user's torso is in a generally vertical position. The adhesive is present on one side of the napkin or bib, but the adhesive is not covered by release tabs that must be removed from the napkin and disposed of prior to use.

  • Patent number: 7455521
Abstract: A loop is formed by a bow having across one side a strip or blade. The bow has flexure and memory. The flexure and memory of the bow are imparted to the strip, enabling the strip to be either taut or loose, depending on the pressure exerted by the operator upon the bow. The bow is held and manipulated by the operator with the thumb and finger. The strip is positioned under tension. A holder for the device allows additional variability in the angle of attack of the strip, and facilitates quick and easy interchange of the strips. A holder avoids insertion of fingers far back in the mouth, where working space is limited.

  • Publication number: 20080213731
Abstract: A device and method for applying dental composite matter to dental surfaces, such as cavities in teeth, gaps in teeth, or other deformations in tooth surfaces, or other applications to teeth, or appliances and devices used with teeth, such as crowns or inlays/onlays. A hand held powered tool provides oscillation of the composite material after the composite material is grossly applied to the dental surface. The oscillation is at a frequency and amplitude that facilitates uniform spreading of the composite material over the dental surface in a desired pattern, while retarding the tendency of the material to stick to the tool.
