  • Publication number: 20230344710
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to managing a distributed system with various local configurations using one or more centralized configurations. A central configuration system may store one or more centralized configurations for a set of applications. Updates to the centralized configurations may be transmitted to one or more of a plurality of local systems. The plurality of local systems may execute one or more of the set of applications. Each application may be associated with a local application configuration specific to a local system on which the application is executed. The local systems may determine whether the updates to the centralized configurations apply to the local application configuration for the one or more local applications stored on the memory, and update the local application configuration when the updates are applicable.

  • Publication number: 20230188774
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling quality of content is provided. A confidence tool of an automated quality control system may receive a request to analyze a tag indicating content to be presented by a content presentation service. The tag may be indicative of a link to the content and a tracking pixel associated with the content. The confidence tool may determine whether the tag meets criteria (e.g., pixel whitelisting criteria, specification of a content presentation service). The confidence tool may notify a user whether the tag meets the criteria to prevent problematic content from being presented by the content presentation service.

  • Publication number: 20110237467
Abstract: The present invention is directed to completion fluid compositions and methods of making same. Such completion fluids are unique in that they utilize nanoparticles as weighting (densification) agents that increase the specific gravity (or density) of the fluid into which they are dispersed. Depending on their properties, such nanoparticulate weighting agents can vastly broaden the types of base fluid used in the completion fluid, permitting the use of non-aqueous and even hydrocarbon base fluids. Additionally, such nanoparticle-densified completion fluids can provide reduced environmental risks, and the nanoparticle weighting agents used therein can be more easily recovered from the based fluids into which they are dispersed.

  • Patent number: 7803034
Abstract: A system for moving and positioning an object such as a tool. The system has a first assembly that has a first rotatable portion that is rotatable about a first axis, and a second assembly that has a second rotatable portion that is rotatable about a second axis that is not coincident with the first axis. The system may include a third assembly that has a third rotatable portion that is rotatable about a third axis that is not coincident with the second axis. The assemblies are coupled such that rotation of the first rotatable portion causes eccentric rotation of the second and third rotatable portions about the first axis. The system also includes a controller for causing one, two or all three of the rotatable portions to rotate, so as to establish a desired position of an object that is coupled to the system.

  • Publication number: 20060167349
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a non-invasive method and apparatus for measuring a fluid analyte, particularly relating to glucose or alcohol contained in blood or tissue, utilizing spectroscopic methods. More particularly, the method and apparatus incorporate means for detecting and quantifying changes in the concentration of specific analytes in tissue fluid. • Patent number: 6983176
Abstract: Systems and methods for establishing and/or maintaining the prediction capability over time of a multivariate calibration model designed for quantitative optical spectroscopic measurement of attributes or analytes in bodily tissues, bodily fluids or other biological samples, which are particularly useful when the spectral absorbance of the attribute or analyte is small relative to the background. The present invention provides an optically similar reference sample to capture the characteristics of instrument and environmental variation and to reduce the effect of such variation on the measurement capability of the model. The optically similar reference is preferably stable over time and is designed such that its optical properties are sufficiently matched to the sample of interest that instrument and environmental variations are captured in the same manner in both the test sample of interest and the optically similar reference sample.

  • Publication number: 20050090750
Abstract: A method of determining disease state in an individual. A portion of the tissue of the individual is illuminated with excitation light, then light emitted by the tissue due to Raman scattering of a chemical with the tissue responsive to the excitation light is detected. The detected light can be combined with a model relating Raman emission with disease state to determine a disease state of the individual. The invention can comprise single wavelength excitation light, scanning of excitation light (illuminating the tissue at a plurality of wavelengths), detection at a single wavelength, scanning of detection wavelengths (detecting emitted light at a plurality of wavelengths), and combinations thereof. The invention also can comprise correction techniques that reduce determination errors due to detection of light other than that from Raman emission of a chemical in the tissue. For example, the reflectance of the tissue can lead to errors if appropriate correction is not employed.

  • Patent number: 6718189
Abstract: A method and apparatus for non-invasively measuring the concentration of an analyte, particularly blood analyte in blood. The method utilizes spectrographic techniques in conjunction with means for equilibrating the concentration of the analyte between the vascular system fluid compartment of the test area and the other tissue fluid compartment. An improved optical interface between a sensor probe and a skin surface or tissue surface of the body containing the blood to be analyzed. Multiple readings during the equilibration period are taken and utilized to show the direction and rate of charge of concentration of the analyte in the blood which is useful in optimizing therapeutic response to the collected data.
