Abstract: Disclosed herein is a computer implemented method and system that addresses the need for utilization analysis and performance evaluation of providers in a health care organization. The health care data comprising health plan information of consumers, providers, claims, and hospitals is collected, translated, and organized in a structured relational format and stored in standard tables. The organized health care data is analyzed by calculating consumer statistics for a health plan using the health plan information of the consumers. The claims of the consumers are processed to classify the claims based on age, gender, disease, and comorbid conditions of the consumers. A plurality of costs of the health care organization is determined using one or more of the health plan information. The performance of the providers is assessed using the determined plurality of costs. The providers comprising primary care physicians are analyzed based on entire population of the associated consumers.

Abstract: A storage router having an internet protocol (IP) port for coupling to a network supporting IP packets, a fibre channel port for coupling to a fibre channel network to a plurality of storage devices, and a SCSI router having an iSCSI interface that extracts SCSI command and data information from packets received through the IP port, wherein the SCSI router passes the extracted SCSI command and data information to the fiber channel port. Some embodiments further include a session to an information-handling system. The session supports a target-only mapping (wherein a source-specified target value is replaced by a mapped target value that is then passed by the SCSI router toward a first storage device and its LUNs), or target-and-LUN mapping (wherein source-specified target and LUN information is replaced by mapped target-and LUN information such as a loop-ID and LUN combination, a WWPN and LUN combination, or a WWNN).

Abstract: A system and method for accessing Storage Area Networks over an IP network. A SCSI request is generated and encapsulated in one or more IP packets. The encapsulated SCSI request is routed over an IP network and received by a storage router. The storage router extracts the SCSI request from the one or more IP packets and routes the extracted SCSI request through a virtual SCSI router to the storage area network.

Abstract: A system that is usable with a subterranean well includes an assembly and a telemetry tool. The system includes an assembly that performs a downhole measurement. The system also includes a downhole telemetry tool to modulate a carrier stimulus that is communicated through a downhole fluid to communicate the downhole measurement uphole.

Abstract: A node, within a networked computer system, is capable of supporting communications with other nodes relating to operating multiple application instances in a master-slave configuration. Each node periodically generates and sends a Heartbeat message that indicates the operational status and configuration information for one or more application instances being managed by the node. When a node receives a Heartbeat message from a remote node, it determines whether new configuration information should be obtained for each of the application instances the node is managing, and establishes a connection with a remote node that can access the new configuration information. The connection is an HTTP connection, in one embodiment. The node then requests and receives that new configuration information from the remote node. In one embodiment, the new configuration information is received in an XML format.

Abstract: A rock bolt includes a hollow body and a gap along a length of the hollow body. At least one strain gauge is affixed to an inner surface of the rock bolt and is accessible from the gap. The rock bolt may include a data logger within the hollow body and coupled to receive signals from one or more strain gauges, and to record these signals in a memory. The data logger may comprise a data port adapted to be accessible from the outside of a bore hole into which the rock bolt is inserted. The data logger also may include at least one of a visual and auditory alarm. A graphic user interface software program can be used to download data from the data logger and set certain operating parameters of the data logger.

Abstract: A system is provided for coupling individual fenestration units together and sealing the gaps between them so as to form a sealed compound fenestration unit. The individual fenestration units include mating channels and tabs or other connectors that are attached to outside frame surfaces of the individual fenestration units. When the connectors are coupled together, they attach the frames of the individual fenestration units securely together in such a way that gaps are formed between the units along their joined frame surfaces. The gaps are sealed by resilient sealing strips that are configured to be inserted into the gaps, and that are formed with seals that bear against the walls of the gaps to form impervious moisture seals.

Abstract: A protective glove system is disclosed wherein each glove has an articulated thumb skeleton disposed in the thumb member. The thumb skeleton comprises a plurality of sections pivotably joined together to enable the thumb to articulate between open and closed positions. A locking mechanism is provided for preventing the thumb skeleton sections from bending backwards, thereby preventing hyperextension of the wearer's thumb.
