Patent number: 10648207Abstract: A casement window opening control device including a sash sub-assembly and a frame sub-assembly. The device is self-locating by aligning the bottom end of each sub-assembly with physical features of the window. This saves time and effort in installation by not requiring any measurements to ensure that an engaging feature of the limiting arm of the device is aligned with an engaging feature of the frame sub-assembly so that the device properly reengages upon closing of the sash after release. Also, operation of the release of the travel limiting arm is intuitive, requiring only pressing in on a latch button and sliding it upwardly to effect release.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2017Date of Patent: May 12, 2020Assignee: Truth Hardware CorporationInventor: Craig M. Patent number: 9593516Abstract: A multipoint mortise lock mechanism for a swinging door, including a central cassette assembly operably coupled to an upper remote locking point assembly and a lower remote locking point assembly by a remote locking linkage. The central cassette assembly includes a housing, a deadbolt mechanism, a latchbolt mechanism, a remote locking point mechanism and an anti-slam mechanism. The anti-slam mechanism includes an anti-slam plunger that when in an extended position engages the remote locking linkage via a boss and a slot and thereby inhibits movement of the remote locking linkage whereby deployment of the remote locking point assemblies is prevented. The deadbolt mechanism includes a deadbolt extendible from the central cassette that is independently operable from the remote locking point mechanism. The deadbolt mechanism further includes an anti-back drive mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2013Date of Patent: March 14, 2017Assignee: Truth Hardware CorporationInventors: Yoshikazu Nakanishi, Manabu Shimoji, Douglas A. Patent number: 7900322Abstract: A push-out style window assembly including window hardware for frictionally retaining an open position of the window under typical loading conditions. A push-out style window assembly generally includes a friction hinge assembly including a track, a sash arm, a support arm, and a friction arm. The friction arm can include an adjustable and/or detachable slide enabling adjustment of a frictional resistance between the friction slider and the support arm. Using the friction arm, frictional resistance is provided so as to provide control both during opening of the window and in retaining the position of an open window.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2007Date of Patent: March 8, 2011Assignee: Truth Hardware CorporationInventors: Craig M. Doring, Thomas Soukup, James Seaser
