  • Publication number: 20110266367
Abstract: A sprayer and a releasable bottle are provided. The sprayer includes a main housing having a pump and a nozzle coupled in a material flow path. The housing further includes a bottle receptacle and a bottle adapter, which is fluidically coupled to the material flow path and has a lower, sealing surface and a lower fitting. An adapter spring applies a downward displacement force to the bottle adapter. The bottle is insertable into the bottle receptacle through an opening in the receptacle and has a top, which engages the lower sealing surface when inserted fully into the receptacle. The bottle includes a tube adapter that mates with the lower fitting and is coupled to a tube carried within the bottle. A latch retains the bottle in the receptacle in a latched state and releases the bottle from the receptacle in a released state.

  • Publication number: 20110042493
Abstract: The cartridge spreader system includes a mobile cartridge spreader with a cartridge station configured to engage a cartridge and includes a locking controller for locking the cartridge securely into the cartridge station. The cartridge station includes an activator mechanism for activating and deactivating an engaged cartridge. The cartridge spreader includes an activation controller for activating and deactivating the cartridge. Activation of the cartridge allows the granular product contained in the cartridge to flow out of the container, through a granular chute on the cartridge station, and onto a granular product launcher which launches or impels the granular product over terrain or other surface. When the cartridge is deactivated, the flow path is sealed stopping the flow of granular product. The cartridge itself includes a fitment that engages with the cartridge station. The cartridge fitment includes an appropriately sized metering gate.

  • Publication number: 20100170904
Abstract: The subject invention relates to a trash can that comprises a base and a liner supported by the base to receive and store trash. A body, supported by the base, houses the liner and a top comprising a support wall supported by the body and two doors rotatably supported by said top support wall, wherein each door is hinged on one side to said support wall. At least one L-shaped bracket is positioned against one top door and connected to the body via a pin. At least one lift rod with a first end operatively connected to each of the L-shaped brackets. A lift bar interfaces with a second end of each of the two lift rods. A pedal mechanically connected to the lift bar moves the lift bar in a downward motion to pull the lift rods down thereby rotating the L-shaped bracket about the pin to extend each L-shaped bracket in an upward motion to open each top door.

  • Patent number: 7674971
Abstract: A key extender includes an elongated member, e.g., a deformable metal rod, having a first end portion secured to a contact member, e.g., a circular disc having a contact area greater than the available touch plate surface area of the key. An opposite second end portion of the elongated member is secured to a first part of a fastening arrangement, with the other part of the fastening arrangement on a key of a keyboard. Mounting an extender on each of the keys of a keyboard and shaping the metal rod to position the discs adjacent to and spaced from one another allows a disabled person to depress the closely adjacent keys of the keyboard, e.g. and not limited to, the keys of a piano or keys of a typewriter.
