    Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to an automated exit apparatus for a lockable privacy restroom comprising: a door operator, an electronically activatable motorized strike system, and a door actuator operable without physical contact by a user's hand that is mounted on an interior of a privacy restroom. The actuator may be user-actuatable to unlock the door by electronically activating the motor for the strike and to open the door by electronically activating the operator.
