Abstract: Growth of the adoption of an innovation in a social group may be predicted. Web pages are designated in which to search for reference to an innovation, and each of the web pages is associated with one or more stages of innovation adoption. Data are automatically gathered concerning the frequency of reference to the innovation in the individual web pages, statistical information is derived automatically about the innovation's present stage of adoption from the gathered data and from the association of the individual web pages with one or more successive stages of technology development. A prediction of the future growth of the adoption of the innovation is made based on the statistical information.

Abstract: An enterprise-wide knowledge management system is disclosed, which includes an innovation engine portal that can link each user to any needed expertise, throughout an enterprise, in a consistent manner. As a result, enterprise experts are free to pursue more higher-value-added activities such as, for example, the formation of additional strategic alliances and pursuit of additional mega-deals. As such, in today's “Digital Economy,” a successful organization is enabled to eliminate boundaries, collaborate in new ways, establish trust, and continuously seek improvements. The entire innovation life cycle is made accessible to all employees, from the initial demand for innovation, through the searches for innovation, sparking of innovation creations, innovation collaborations and investments, and innovation reporting and communications.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method for determining service resources allocation includes associating a generic value stream having a plurality of generic value stream components with a plurality of industry segments, allocating, for at least one of the industry segments, expenditures for a time period to at least one of the plurality of generic value stream components for the industry segment, and determining, for at least one of the industry segments, the amount of expenditures associated with the at least one of the plurality of generic value stream components relative to the total amount of expenditures for the at least one industry segment. The determination is for use in determining the resource allocation.
