    Abstract: Provided as novel compositions are sulfolanyloxyalkylheptaalkylcyclotetrasiloxanes. The cyclic polysiloxanes of the invention are especially useful as monomers for the formation of higher molecular weight polymers comprising difunctional dialkylsiloxy units in combination with difunctional sulfolanyloxyalkylmonoalkylsiloxy units.
