Patent number: 9650088Abstract: A work vehicle includes a frame having opposed compartments to receive a lubricating liquid for providing lubrication to a corresponding motor-powered chain drive. The chain drive is usable to drivingly move a continuous track or a set of wheels for moving the work vehicle. The continuous track and the set of wheels are interchangeably receivable by the frame, the frame remaining virtually identical whether receiving the continuous track or the set of wheels.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2013Date of Patent: May 16, 2017Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: William Ryan Haar, Curtiss M. Lee, Jason J. Bergkamp, William A. Wright

Patent number: 9340956Abstract: A work vehicle includes a frame including generally upwardly extending laterally spaced side members. A boom structure includes a pair of arms pivotably connecting the boom structure to the frame. A pressurized fluid system is operably associated with the boom structure for raising and lowering jointly each of the arms along a path of travel adjacent a corresponding side member. A stop member selectably extends outwardly from at least one of the side members between a locking position and a retracted position, the locking position extending at least a portion of the stop member into the path of travel of a corresponding arm of the boom structure to prevent a lowering movement of the boom structure beyond a predetermined height. A boom lock system prevents the fluid system from applying a fluid force to lower the boom structure when the stop member is in the locking position.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2013Date of Patent: May 17, 2016Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Brad M. Patent number: 8016345Abstract: An operator cab for a skid steer vehicle is equipped with an inwardly folding front access door that can be locked in either a fully closed position or a fully open position. A pair of over-centered cylinders assists with closing and opening of the front access door. A lever, located in the operator cab, may be used to unlock the door from either its fully open position or its fully closed position. The skid steer vehicle may be operated effectively when the front access door is locked in the fully open position.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2009Date of Patent: September 13, 2011Assignee: Gehl CompanyInventors: Aaron Goddard, Marvin Joray, Robert Claas, Curtiss M. Patent number: 7975793Abstract: A foot pod for use with the operator cab of a construction vehicle is designed to pivot separately from the operator cab. The operator cab may be pivoted toward the rear of the construction vehicle and the foot pod may be pivoted toward the front of the construction vehicle. Pivoting the foot pod toward the front of the vehicle permits ground access to the foot pod and any controls carried thereby. Separately pivoting the foot pod forward is particularly advantageous for cleaning the foot pod or servicing any controls carried by the foot pod. Isolation mounts may be used to dampen vibrations from the chassis to the foot pod and the operator cab.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2009Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Gehl CompanyInventors: Robert Claas, Marvin Joray, Aaron Goddard, Curtiss M. Patent number: 5165332Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring bale density in a round baler. A pair of hydraulic cylinders are operable to move a movable portion of the baler between its open and closed position. The bale density monitoring apparatus of the invention monitors pressure on the cylinders during bale formation. Upon sensing a differential in pressure between the cylinders, a signal is provided to the operator so that the tractor can be moved relative to the window to equalize pressure within the bale-forming chamber.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1991Date of Patent: November 24, 1992Assignee: Gehl CompanyInventor: Curtiss M.
