    Abstract: A drug delivery port including a port housing having an inner sidewall defining a fill port cavity and a fill port washer in direct contact with a perimeter edge of the inner sidewall of the port housing such that an intersection between the washer and the perimeter edge define a plurality of filter channels having a cross-sectional flow area of about 0.001 mm2 to about 0.5 mm2 that lie within the fluid pathway of the delivery port. The delivery port also includes a port cover coupled and a pierceable septum compressed between the fill port washer and the port cover configured to allow a needle to pierce through the septum to deliver an injectable fluid to the fill port cavity.

    Abstract: A child carrier with a side buckle and ventilation features. The buckle includes a male portion and a female portion. The male portion of the buckle is shaped to mate with the female portion simply and easily, yet securely attaches the side portion of the carrier to the front/strap portion of the carrier. The buckle is robust, yet easy to use and does not easily disengage without a deliberate movement by the wearer thereof. The ventilation features provide comfort to the child carried in the carrier as well as the wearer thereof and are comprised of a ventilation panel that may be open, releasably closed, or accessed through a slit.

    Abstract: A child harness comprising: (a) a crotch support coupled to a frame, the crotch support adapted to provide a seat for a child and distribute the child's weight to the frame; and (b) an active restraint coupled to the frame and responsive to the movement of the child secured therein, the active restraint including a leg strap adapted to engage a leg of the child and a shoulder strap adapted to engage a shoulder of the child, where the leg strap is operatively coupled to the shoulder strap, and where movement of one of the leg's or shoulder's of the child to engage the leg strap or shoulder strap restraining that portion of the child's body operates to increase tension on the corresponding shoulder strap or leg strap on the same side of the child's body. The invention provides an action-reaction harness system as well as a method of accommodating a child's range of movements without compromising the integrity of the harness.

    Abstract: The present invention comprises a backpack having a plurality of compartments and modes. Each compartment has a plurality of pockets. The pockets are designed to hold tools or other items in an individual manner. The invention also comprises a waist belt having two quick release clips or buckles to be removable along with its belly pack. The buckles also allow a user to open the waistband and then to turn the pack around the user's body so the back can be accessed by the user without the need to remove the pack from the user's body. The invention also comprises a water source in the pack. A dedicated compartment allows a user to place a water container in the pack for transport and storage of water. This also allows a user ready access the water while engaged in an activity. A bicyclist can carry the rear bag on his back in a first mode. He can disconnect one buckle to rotate the rear back to his belly for a second mode. He can disconnect the waist band and belly pack for a third mode.
