Abstract: A device includes a sealing ring that clamps around facing ends of two tubes, and that has first and second free ends, each of which is provided with a sealing arrangement suitable for coming into leaktight contact. First and second tightening lugs are fastened to the sealing ring in the vicinities of the first and the second free ends. The device has a bridge covering the sealing arrangements, the bridge being mounted to be stationary relative to the first free end of the ring and suitable for sliding relative to the second free end of the ring.

Abstract: The device comprises a sealing ring (10) that clamps around the facing ends of the two tubes, and that has first and second free ends, each of which is provided with a sealing arrangement (11A, 11?A, 11B, 11?B, 11C, 11?C) suitable for coming into leaktight contact. Abstract: The collar has a roughly cylindrical metal band and a pair of ears projecting from this band and defining a tightening space between themselves. It also has a tightening device for pulling these ears towards each other. The ears have an extension which is bent around behind each ear away from the other ear and which has a hole for the tightening rod and the tightening device, this hole being lined up with a hole in the forward part of the same area ear. Abstract: A clamping collar includes a belt that co-operates with a tightening member(s) and that is made up of two belt portions interconnected at their connection ends. Each of these connection ends has a joggle between an end segment and a coupling segment. The joggle is provided with a slot that extends transversely to a step. The connection ends are thus interlocked, the step of each connection end being disposed in the slot of the other end and the coupling segment of each of the ends being disposed against the end segment of the other end, so that the retaining surfaces belonging to respective ones of the two ends co-operate with each other.

Abstract: Force-multiplying pliers comprising a fixed arm (10), a moving actuating arm (14) which is hinged (16) to the fixed arm (10), and a moving support arm (18) also hinged to the fixed arm (10). Force multiplication is performed by means of a first link (28) hinged (28A) to the fixed arm (10) and of a second link (30) hinged (34A) to the support arm (18), the links being hinged together via a coupling pin (32). The pliers further comprise mechanical coupling and movement-transmitting means for mechanically coupling together and for transmitting movement between the moving actuating arm and said links, which means comprise cam means (34, 36).

Abstract: A clamping collar having a hook (29) is suitable for engaging a lug (30). A first jaw (20) of the pliers is equipped with a retaining member (46) mounted to move relative to it between a retaining position in which it is capable of co-operating with the hook or with the lug to retain the hook or the lug against the jaw and a release position in which it releases the hook or the lug. Advantageously, each of the jaws is provided with such a retaining member, the two members being respectively suitable for being engaged under the hook and under the lug which, for this purpose, is provided with a recess.
