  • Patent number: 7739827
Abstract: A holder for a rod and reel combination as may be used for ice fishing is disclosed. The holder has an elongated arm pivotally supported on a wall, pail or fixture mounting bracket for adjustable movement in a horizontal plane; and a tubular sleeve is pivotally attached to the arm for removably receiving and holding a rod and its reel in such an orientation that the rod points downwardly for selective positioning over an ice fishing hole. An alarm finger movable between a restrained or cocked position and a tripped position for actuating an audible alarm is attached to the arm. A fishing line engagement member is operatively associated with the alarm finger in such a way that when a fish strikes and pulls the line, the alarm finger is released from its cocked position and moves to its tripped position to actuate the alarm.

  • Patent number: 6705656
Abstract: A pull-out load platform truck cargo beds. The load platform has a frame with a base, a plurality of outriggers that extend therefrom, and a pair of rails that are aligned with the base. The outriggers and the rails are adjustable and have ends that are configured and arranged to engage surfaces of a truck body in a non-invasive manner, so that when the load platform is installed in a cargo bed of a truck, the base is prevented from moving relative thereto. A deck, onto which cargo may be placed, is operatively connected to the frame and movable relative thereto, preferably in a constrained manner. When the deck is pulled out relative to the frame so that it extends partially beyond the end of the base in a cantilever fashion, the deck is prevented from tipping by the operative connection between the frame and the deck.

  • Patent number: 5664522
Abstract: A squirrel or small animal feeding apparatus comprises a mounting post, an angular mounting member, a pivot arm rotatably mounted to the angular mounting member, and a combination of eye hooks for attaching either a corn cob or a small bird feeder to one end of the pivot arm. The animal feeding apparatus further comprises a slidably moveable counterweight, the counterweight being mountable to the pivot arm in order to counterbalance the weight of an animal climbing onto the animal feeder. When an animal climbs up the pivot arm to get at the food attached to the eye hook assembly, the pivot arm will rotate in either direction, causing the animal to swing across the bottom.

  • Patent number: 5188551
Abstract: A marker device for fishermen including a body or flotation portion made from a transparent, plastic bottle. A sheet of brightly colored fluorescent or retroreflective paper lines the inside of the bottle, making the marker highly visible. A threaded cap is secured to the core or bottom end of a spool, about which an anchor line is wound. The spool has upper and lower flanges, and the anchor line is secured to the upper flange. An anchor weight is secured to the free end of the anchor line, the anchor weight being a strip of malleable lead that may be formed to bend around the anchor line wound on the spool when not in use. Further, a counterweight is contained within the bottom portion of the spool opposite the bottle, causing the marker to stand upright in the water.

  • Patent number: 4945668
Abstract: An ice fishing apparatus incorporating a housing with a heating chamber having a heat source such as a candle for preventing the formation of ice in an ice fishing hole as well as for preventing the freezing of the fishing reel. A tip up system is mounted on the housing so as to signal a fisherman that a fish has been hooked.
