The heating device usable with a cooking appliance includes a working coil formed by spirally winding a conducting wire, and a sheet member arranged to support the working coil and having a supporting plane facing the working coil. Individual windings of the conducting wire, which constitute individual turns of the working coil, are spaced apart from neighboring windings by a predetermined distance. Spaces are defined between the individual neighboring windings of the conducting wire without a structure to guide the working coil.

    Abstract: An induction heating cooker and a control method thereof. The induction heating cooker includes a plurality of heating coil groups, each of the heating coil groups including a plurality of heating coils connected in series, a plurality of inverters to individually supply high-frequency voltages to the heating coil groups, respectively, and a controller to control operations of the inverters such that the high-frequency voltages are supplied to the heating coil groups, respectively, based on the numbers of heating coils upon which at least one cooking container is placed within the respective heating coil groups. Therefore, it is possible to effectively heat the cooking container even though the container is put on any position of a cooking plate irrespective of a specific position of the cooking plate. Also, it is possible to effectively heat the container regardless of the size of the container.

The roasting spit for a microwave oven comprises a ring-shaped support member disposed on a tray and including a horizontal coupling portion formed at one end thereof to be bent toward the center of the support member, and a vertical coupling portion formed at an other end of the support member to be multi-bent upward, and a pin member for stabbing a roasting material, the pin member being provided with an coupling hole formed at lower end thereof, thereby the pin member being selectively coupled with the horizontal coupling portion and the vertical coupling portion. When the roasting spit is not used, the pin member can be coupled with the horizontal coupling portion, so as to guarantee a safe packing with less expense and as well greatly reduce the package size.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic induction heating cooker includes a heating coil situated below a cooking plate and mounted on a mounting plate. An attachment assembly is connected to the mounting plate within the center of the coil. The attachment assembly includes a pair of horizontally projecting pieces which overlie the coil and press downwardly thereagainst. A temperature sensor carried by the holder is spring-biased upwardly into contact with the underside of the cooking plate. The holder carries a thermal fuse for shutting off the coil when a sensed temperature exceeds a reference temperature.
