The method includes, when it is determined that a link loss is generated at a link with the second device, adjusting a scanning period of advertisement data broadcasted by the second device and a size of a scan window in which the scanning is performed, according to a time during which the link loss continues; and scanning the advertisement data at each of the adjusted scanning periods in the scan window corresponding to the adjusted size.
