  • Patent number: 8156880
Abstract: The present invention relates to a keel construction for a floating vessel, where a drop keel (3) can be adjusted from a retracted/extended position to an extended/retracted position for the purpose of varying the steering and gravity point of the floating vessel and through its construction also to be able to absorb impact in the event of a grounding with the drop keel (3). The drop keel (3) is connected with at least one around a fixed point extended and rotating element (7), where the extended and rotating element (7) is connected in the keel house (1) and further is connected with a fluid cylinder (6). An additional fluid cylinder (5) in the keel house (1) is connected to an upper end of the drop keel (3), which fluid cylinders (5, 6) can be controlled in order to readjust the drop keel (3) from a retracted position to an extended position (and vice versa) or to absorb the impact that the drop keel (3) is exposed to.

  • Publication number: 20040040248
Abstract: The present invention relates to a frame construction for fixing a plurality of essentially flat panel structures in a matrix relation. The frame construction consists of a plurality of horizontal frame members and a plurality of vertical frame members, which horizontal and vertical frame members forms a matrix of openins in the frame construciton in which the panel structures can be removably inserted in that the openings can be adjusted in size to facilitate the insertion or removal of the removable panel structures. The frame construciton will be especially useful in a matrix arrangement of, for example, display faces which together form a “giant screen” or, for example, solar cell panels which are usually made having a limited area and which also can be assembled by using the present frame construciton to give a substantially greater total area.

  • Patent number: 5461510
Abstract: A method for installing or removing modules of elements in a panel structure, especially for installing display modules in a large screen, the modules are mounted in a lattice formed by orthogonally crossing chords which can be moved in a horizontal and vertical direction in a frame structure in which the chords are fitted. A panel structure wherein the method is used, consists of a lattice of orthogonally crossing chords fitted in a frame structure in which a carrier device consisting of movable sections is arranged to give the chords a horizontal or vertical displacement.

  • Patent number: 4913588
Abstract: A method and apparatus for insulating a pipeline (1) which is more or less submerged in the sea bottom consists in that the insulation (3) is made directly at the pipeline (1): the substances for production of the insulating overing are transported to a mixing chamber (7) at the production site and are foamed around the pipeline (1). For this purpose may be used a flexible sheet (4) of material such as foil which is anchored to the sea bottom (2). Through the production of the insulation (3) in situ, the gas pressure in the insulating material (3) can be adapted to the outer pressure and thereby a compression of the material with loss of insulating effect can be avoided.
