    Abstract: Anon-asbestos friction material is provided with a fibrous base material, a friction modifier, and a binder, wherein a partially graphitized coke is blended in a ratio of 0.5 vol % to 2.5 vol %. By blending the partially graphitized coke, compression strain of the friction material is adjusted so as to improve brake feeling without deteriorating friction properties.
