Abstract: A system and method for obtaining photographic products and/or services comprises bundling image capture and printing technologies into products and/or services that are paid for by a consumer with monthly or yearly subscription fees. The system and method involves selecting a camera and selecting a photographic products/service plan which designates photographic products and/or services which are to be associated with the selected camera. The system and method gives the consumer the option of selecting a specific camera from a menu of cameras, and a specific photographic product/service plan which is to be associated with the selected camera from a product/service menu. As a further option, the consumer can customize his/her product/service plan in accordance with his/her preference. The plan can provide for products and/or services for images captured and/or film exposed by the camera for a predetermined amount of time at a predetermined fee.

Abstract: A method for image presentation are provided, in which at least one theme for image presentation is obtained; at least one set of images is acquired for presentation in association with each theme; and a presentation area image is generated for presentation on a display with a plurality of separate presentation objects in the presentation area image; an image value for each of the acquired images is determined; an emphasis score is determined for each of the acquired images. The presentation area image is presented with one of the acquired images in each of the presentation objects; and the presentation objects are animated by moving the presentation objects relative to each other in a manner that attracts more attention to presentation objects that are used to present images having a higher emphasis score than presentation objects that are used to simultaneously present images having a lower emphasis score.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention pertain to the organizing of digital content by events, so that retrieval of such digital content in a manner meaningful and logical to users is achieved. In this regard, an event may be defined at least by event boundaries, such as a span of time, a geographic area, an acquirer of digital content, or a subject of digital content. Digital content that can be deemed to accord with the event boundaries may be associated with the event and made available for access and retrieval.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing presentation of digital images using multiple separate digital media frames each positioned in a separate location and providing images that are viewable within a presentation space, the method comprising the steps of providing access to a source of a plurality of digital images; determining a semantic type defining at least one semantic element of the digital images to be presented; determining the number of the multiple separate digital media frames that are available to be used for presenting the digital images; determining the semantic content of the accessed digital images; selecting digital images for presentation having determined semantic content that corresponds to the determined semantic type; determining a manner for presenting the selected digital images using the determined number of number of digital media frames; and, presenting the selected digital images in the determined manner.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for presenting digital images using a plurality of digital media frames separated spatially along at least two axes. In one aspect the method comprises the steps of obtaining the digital images to be presented determining the multi-dimensional relationship between the digital media frames analyzing the digital images and any associated metadata to assign an image perspective determination to each of the digital images and determining an arrangement of the digital images for presentation on the plurality of the digital media frames according to the multi-dimensional relationship between the digital media frames and according to the determined image perspectives.

The computer software product comprises a computer readable storage medium having a computer program which when loaded into a computer causes computer to locate and selecting at least one digital image provided in said storage medium and incorporate the image in a game. The software may automatically displaying a prestored sponsor message upon playing or completion of said game. The computer software may be part of system for managing a contest for a plurality of different sponsors. A host server accessible by a communication network is provided with a computer software program for providing contest information on behalf of a plurality of sponsors to a plurality of consumers. The software keeps track of the number of times contest information is provided on behalf of one of the sponsors and allocating a cost to each of said sponsors.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a photo album page. The apparatus includes a first supply of a media having a front and back side, a first print head located adjacent the front side of the media; a first transport mechanism for advancing the first supply of media in a first processing path; a second supply of a second media having a front and back side, the front side of the second media is such that digital images may be printed thereon; a second print head for providing images on the front side of the second media; a second first transport mechanism for advancing the first media along a first processing path, the first path and second path being positioned such that initially the paths are initially separated and later combined to form a single processing path such that the back sides of first media and second media will be co-extensive with each other; and a securing mechanism for bringing together and securing the first media and second media so as to form a substantially integral web.
