  • Publication number: 20240156517
Abstract: A device and method for treating female urinary incontinence and also for treating fecal incontinence are presented. A fractional RF grid array is used to heat target tissue to a temperature of about 40-45° C. for a specified period of time, thus stimulating fibroblasts to produce type 1 collagen preferably without producing significant amounts of type 3 collagen. The device includes a temperature sensor and a control circuit to maintain the desired temperature of the target tissue and avoid overheating. Target tissue includes tissue in and around the urethra, and in and around the anus including the perineum. The wand to which the RF grid array is mounted has visible gradations on it so that the user can treat one area at a time, then reliably move the grid array to the next adjacent area even though the grid array is hidden from view inside a portion of the body. The device can also be used for vaginoplasty.

  • Publication number: 20240158528
Abstract: This invention provides a method for depleting a subject's hematopoietic stem cells comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a radiolabeled anti-CD45 antibody, such as 131I-BC8 or 225Ac-BC8. This invention also provides a method for treating a subject afflicted with a non-cancerous disorder treatable via genetically edited cell therapy comprising (i) administering to the subject an amount of a radiolabeled anti-CD45 antibody effective to deplete the subject's hematopoietic stem cells, and (ii) after a suitable time period, performing the therapy on the subject to treat the subject's disorder. Finally, this invention provides articles of manufacture for performing the subject methods.

  • Publication number: 20240091475
Abstract: A respiratory assistance system can provide high flow therapy to patients. The respiratory assistance system can include a patient interface that can deliver a gas flow to a patient and a gas source that can drive the gas flow towards the patient interface at an operating flow rate. The system can include a controller for controlling the operating flow rate of the gas. The controller can apply multiple test flow rate values in a range as the operating flow rate. For each of the test flow rate values, the controller can measure a patient parameter. The controller can determine a new flow rate value based on the measured patient parameters. Patient parameters can include respiration rate, work of breathing, or any other parameters related to the respiratory circuit.

  • Patent number: 10979754
Abstract: Embodiments utilize viewership data collected via a set top box (STB) at individual households (HHs) to enable a network operator to recommend ad spots to customers based on a percentage of HHs that are likely to view the ad spots (e.g., the % of HHs reached by the ad spots), and/or based on the average number of times (e.g., average frequency) that the reached HHs are likely to view the ad spot. Embodiments compile the available network/daypart ad spots per broadcast week, and determine a number of ad spots for each network/daypart that satisfy a reached threshold of HHs, and/or satisfies the minimum frequency threshold.

  • Patent number: 10956985
Abstract: Deferred revenue calculations can be necessary in an accrual-basis accounting model where a subscription or other type of sale is conducted that requires deferred revenue recognition. A snapshot state corresponding to the current state of a particular deferral can be generated. Out of order deferred events can also occur. The current state of the deferral can also be published in a downstream system.

  • Patent number: 10001127
Abstract: The invention provides a portable DC cooling fan that performs the dual function of a cooling fan and a sleep aid by generating air movement and white noise useful for inducing sleep. The portable device includes a DC axial fan under the control of an electrical control system that receives power through an AC/DC adapter. The electrical control system includes one or more user interface switches for selecting fan speed and optionally, selecting oscillation mode, thereby simulating the sounds of an oscillating fan without undergoing rotation. The portable DC cooling fan of the invention includes a housing having a plurality of openings on its front and rear surfaces that enable air flow through the device. The invention also provides an article of manufacturer comprising an AC/DC adapter packaged with a portable DC cooling fan of the invention.

  • Patent number: 9618077
Abstract: Embodiments of isolators, such as three parameter isolators, including a main spring linear guide system are provided. In one embodiment, the isolator includes first and second opposing end portions, a main spring mechanically coupled between the first and second end portions, and a linear guide system extending from the first end portion, across the main spring, and toward the second end portion. The linear guide system expands and contracts in conjunction with deflection of the main spring along the working axis, while restricting displacement and rotation of the main spring along first and second axes orthogonal to the working axis.
