  • Publication number: 20180084818
Abstract: Apparatus, system and method for cold pressing juice from a food including a food delivery chute, a food grinder, and a pressing chamber which may removably fit together as a single, stand-alone unit.

  • Publication number: 20180070613
Abstract: Juice extraction using multiple pairs of juice extractors and comminutors which reduce the food pieces into successively smaller pieces with juice extraction occurring after each comminuting step. Coarse food pieces are pressed with extracted juice directed to a juice holding tank. The pressed coarse chop food pieces fall into the hopper of a second comminutor which performs a medium chop on the now pressed but still coarse chopped food pieces. The medium chopped food pieces are then fed from the second comminutor into the juice extraction chamber of a second juice extractor whereupon the medium chopped food pieces are pressed with extracted juice directed to a juice holding tank. Any number of comminutor and juice extraction pairs may be used in serial fashion to optimize the percentage of juice extracted in a minimum amount of time.

  • Patent number: 9844229
Abstract: A juice pressing machine and methods for pressing juice from a foodstuff includes embodiments having a removable pressing chamber and one or more filters which may be assembled and loaded with macerated foodstuff to form thin layers separated by a pressing plate. Once a juicing operation has been completed, the pressing chamber can be removed from the machine for emptying the pressed filters and solids contents therein. The empty pressing chamber may then be rinsed if needed and reattached to the machine for a subsequent pressing operation with newly filled filter(s). The platen may also be easily removed from the machine for cleaning as desired.

  • Publication number: 20140314918
Abstract: A multi-layer pouch assembly consisting of one or multiple inner sealed pouches that contain the ground produce or other product, and a surrounding mesh pouch or bag, acting as a filter for the juice contained in the inner pouches. The outer mesh or gauze pouch which completely envelops or surrounds the inner produce containing pouches has a volume at least equal to the total volume of the inner pouches, to allow for the pressing and expansion of the ground produce when the inner bags are burst by a press platen. Another alternative embodiment employs a third outermost sealable plastic pouch that is capable of holding the gauze bag or pouch, which holds the produce-containing pouches. This outer pouch can be sealed and serves as the package and container for storage in refrigerators or suitable storage facilities.

  • Publication number: 20140224137
Abstract: A method and apparatus for extracting juice from a previously de-juiced fruit mass which as been pressed within a primary press, the previously de-juiced fruit mass being discharged from the primary press and then being broken-up and mixed externally of the primary press, and then pressed again preferably by using a secondary thin layer repressing press which permits the repressed press cake to be quickly and easily loaded and emptied.
