Abstract: An arrow rest with a decoupled launch assembly comprises a rest rotatably mounted to a shaft and coupled to the shaft via a biasing device. An actuator connects the shaft to a portion of a bow allowing movement of the bow to actuate the decoupled launch assembly between a raised state and dropped state by rotation of the shaft. The biasing device flexibly couples movement of the rest and shaft permitting the shaft to further rotate after a dropped state has been achieved.

Abstract: An arrow rest assembly for bowfishing or the like includes a first arrow rest portion for supporting an arrow and a second arrow rest portion releasably connected to the first arrow rest portion, the second arrow rest portion has a bore for slidably receiving the shaft of an arrow. The second arrow rest portion slides along the arrow shaft and separates from the first arrow rest portion in a forward direction during forward movement of the arrow. A line extends between the archery bow and the second arrow rest portion for enabling retrieval of the arrow after it has been shot.

Abstract: A bracket assembly for adjusting the elevation of a bowsight includes a first bracket portion and a second bracket portion spaced from the first bracket portion and adapted for connection to a bowsight. A first pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via first and second pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A second pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via third and fourth pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A range adjustment assembly is operably associated with one of the pivot arms and the first bracket portion to thereby cause pivoting movement of the first and second pivot arms and thus movement of the second bracket portion with respect to the first bracket portion to thereby adjust the elevation of a bowsight when connected to the second bracket portion.

Abstract: A wrist strap for connection to a plurality of different bowstring release mechanisms via a plurality of different connecting members, includes a flexible base member adapted to fit around the wrist of a user and a mounting assembly connected to the wrist strap. The flexible base member has first and second arms that converge towards an apex area. The mounting assembly is connected to the apex area and is adapted to receive and retain the plurality of different connecting members. The mounting assembly includes a lower mounting portion having a first feature for retaining at least a first of the plurality of extension members and a second feature for retaining a second of the plurality of extension members. The upper and lower mounting portions cooperate to releasably lock one of the extension members in one of two locking positions.

Abstract: An arrowhead for capturing and releasing prey during archery bowfishing or other archery activities includes an elongate housing for mounting to an arrow shaft; an elongate slot extending through the housing; an aperture extending transversely through the elongate slot, the aperture having a cross dimension that is larger than a width of the slot; and a barb having a middle section normally captured in the elongate slot in an extended position and at least one leg section extending from the middle section for movement therewith. The barb is slidable within the slot between a retracted capture/release position where the middle section of the barb is captured against rotation and a contracted position where the middle section of the barb is coincident with the aperture to allow rotation of the barb within the aperture about a central axis of the middle section to thereby adjust the at least one leg portion between capture and release positions of the barb for respectively capturing and releasing prey.

Abstract: An illuminated sighting device for an archery bow includes a bracket member for mounting to an archery bow, a frame portion with a sight window adapted for connection to the bracket member, and a first set of optical fibers connected to the plurality of sight pins. Each optical fiber has a distal end forming an illuminated sight dot coincident with its respective sight pin. A plurality of elongate light collectors, in the form of a second set of fluorescent-doped optical fibers, are optically coupled to the first set of optical fibers via a retaining member that is removably connected to one of the bracket member, frame portion and sight pins such that one or more of the light collectors can be removed and replaced independently of the first set of optical fibers.

Abstract: A bowstring release mechanism includes first and second jaws pivotally connected to a housing with a trigger section operably associated with the jaws for moving the jaws between open and closed positions. A cylindrically-shaped bearing is located in grooves formed in the jaws to thereby laterally restrain movement of the first and second jaws while permitting pivotal movement thereof.
