The seam clip is connected to the thermal barrier, and the thermal barrier is connected to a structure, such as a roofing structure. The thermal barrier prevents or at least limits heat conduction from the seam clip into the roofing structure. The thermal barrier improves uplift strength of the seam clip attached to adjoining roofing panels.
