  • Patent number: 9479269
Abstract: Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a system, and corresponding method, for interference suppression of wireless communication signals. The method may comprise embedding a differential phase tracking signal (e.g., a zero amplitude differential phase tracking signal) in a transmitted wireless communication signal. Thereafter, a differential phase may be measured between the embedded transmitted wireless communication signal and a wireless reference signal. This differential phase measurement may be utilized in the suppression of interference in the wireless communication signal.

  • Patent number: 8908817
Abstract: Example embodiments comprise a diversity receiver, and corresponding method, for measuring a differential phase between a first local oscillator of a first antenna and a second local oscillator of a second antenna in the presence of a primary interference signal and at least one secondary interference signal. The method may comprise receiving a primary communication signal, a primary reference signal and additional reference signals, and processing these signals such that a summation signal does not substantially comprise the at least one secondary interference signal. The estimation of differential phase is achieved by a phase shift calculation between processed signal components, using that a summation of all signal components equals, or is approximately equal to, a predetermined signal.

  • Patent number: 8897404
Abstract: The present solution relates to a method in a communication node (201, 204, 210, 213) for canceling interference between a plurality of signals in a communication system (200). The communication node receives (501), at each of a plurality of receiver antennas (407), a respective signal. The communication node (201, 204, 210, 213) cancels (502) a first part of interference between the plurality of received signals. Then, the interference cancelled signals and the received signals are filtered (504) before a second part of interference between the filtered signals is cancelled (505).

  • Publication number: 20060083334
Abstract: A method of demodulating digital data using M?ary QAM has been disclosed, comprising the steps of detecting a complex symbol vector D, establishing within which reference symbol boundaries the detected symbol vector D falls, the given reference symbol boundaries being associated with a complex reference vector R. Quadrature components (E_I and E_Q) of an error vector (E) constituting the difference between the detected vector D and the associated reference vector R are found and an error control signal (E?) as feed back signal in the demodulation stage is approximated. The influence of thermal noise in the receiver stage has been limited by a weighting and/or by noise balancing.

  • Patent number: 6091789
Abstract: A device and a method for deviation determination for use during transfer of a phase shift modulated information-carrying signal between a transmitter and a receiver. The deviation determination is based on the presence of phase-linear segments, i.e., parts of sequences of phase changes that have the same phase change. Segments having three or more consecutive phase changes of the same value are extracted. An identification of the filtered-out segments is performed in order to determine which nominal phase-linear sequences the segments belong to. After this, the deviation and possibly a correction signal can be determined.
