  • Patent number: 11993421
Abstract: An information preservation and conveyance system for providing information and effects to intelligent creatures in the future. The system provides durable containers with components secured inside and durable structure components, such as building bricks for example, mountable to a durable building, pyramid, or other structure, with at least one structure component having external surface information readable by a human. Higher density durable information providing components may be secured inside a durable container by resilient devices to absorb impact forces. Durable optical magnifier pictographic instructions and an optical magnifier or projector may be secured by durable containers, which can have a container opener durably mounted to exposed sections on the durable containers. The durable containers can contain audio generation apparatus, which optionally may teach a language, and any of a wide variety of types of information and articles of possible interest and value to a discoverer in the future.

  • Publication number: 20240135558
Abstract: Z maps combined with a standardized stimulus in the form of a targeted arterial partial pressures of carbon dioxide provide suprisingly enhanced images for the assessment of pathological CVR. For example, the z-map assessment of patients with known steno-occlusive diseases of the cervico-cerebral vasculature showed an enhanced resolution of the presence, localization, and severity of the pathological CVR. Z-map have been found to be useful to reduce the confounding effects of test-to-test, subject-to-subject, and platform-to-platform variability for comparison of CVR images showing the importance of combining this analysis with the standardized stimulus.

  • Publication number: 20240127451
Abstract: Described herein are methods and computer systems for classification of CD8 T-cell topology using a patient response-based linear cutoff model. A plurality of histology images of tissue samples in a plurality of patients are received by a computer system. An image analysis of the plurality of histology images is performed to obtain a CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma in each of the plurality of histology images. Real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores are determined based on a polar coordinate transformation of the CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma. Based on the real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores, a feature space is generated, and linear boundaries or linear cutoffs between a plurality of classifications in the feature space are identified based on the real inflammation scores, the tumor infiltration scores, and patient response data.

  • Patent number: 11954022
Abstract: Provided are a storage device, system, and method for throttling host writes in a host buffer to a storage device. The storage device is coupled to a host system having a host buffer that includes reads and writes to pages of the storage device. Garbage collection consolidates valid data from pages in the storage device to fewer pages. A determination is made as to whether a processing measurement at the storage device satisfies a threshold. A timer value is set to a positive value in response to determining that the processing measurement satisfies the threshold. The timer is started to run for the timer value. Writes from the host buffer are blocked while the timer is running. Writes remain in the host buffer while the timer is running. A write is accepted from the host buffer to process in response to expiration of the timer.

  • Publication number: 20240071542
Abstract: Threshold voltage shift values, or TVS values, are calibrated for a non-volatile memory unit including strings of memory cells organized into memory pages, the memory pages being organized into blocks. The calibration involves a read operation to read a given page of the memory pages, based on given one or more TVS values for the given page. In response to a read failure of the read operation, the calibration determines one or more corrected TVS values based on one or more reference TVS values of one or more reference pages of the memory pages. The calibration subsequently performs a read operation to read the given page based on the one or more corrected TVS values. This calibration exploits TVS values of reference pages to determine corrected TVS values of the failing page, instead of finding appropriate TVS values by repeatedly re-reading the failing page.

  • Publication number: 20230311084
Abstract: A sparge for use in a high-pressure vessel operated at elevated temperatures and having high energy agitators for suspending mineral containing particles in a slurry. The sparge injects reagent fluids into the slurry to reduce reaction times and for controlling process parameters for extracting valuable minerals from the particles. The sparge has a vapor lock to inhibit the flow of particulate material and detritus material under low or no fluid flow situations which occur commonly in the operation of high pressure autoclaves. The sparge has a fluid flow path that increases in cross-sectional area in the direction of flow of reagent fluids so as to keep reagent fluids flowing at a velocity below a critical impingement velocity that can cause metal materials of the sparge to either wear rapidly, combust and in the worst case lead to loss of containment and violent and rapid depressurization of the high pressure vessel.

  • Patent number: 11608297
Abstract: The product is produced from a settable aqueous calcium sulphate dispersion which has a water to solids ratio of less than 0.4 to 1, and has distributed therethrough lightweight hollow bodies having water-impervious surfaces (such as expanded polystyrene beads). The dispersion contains a hydratable cement (such as calcium sulpho aluminate) which is capable of hydration in the presence of the calcium sulphate dispersion. The hydratable cement is such that it reacts with excess water in the dispersion thereby enhancing the water resistance of the resulting product.
