  • Patent number: 9730993
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for targeted delivery of a compound to a target cell that over-expresses two different proteinases. Specifically, two different modified protective antigen proteins, each comprising a cleavage site recognized by a distinct proteinase in place of the native proteinase cleavage site recognized by furin, are administered in combination with a compound that contains a protective antigen binding site. Upon cleavage by the two proteinases the two modified protective antigen proteins form a hetero-oligomer, allowing the compound to bind to the hetero-oligomer and subsequently to be translocated into the target cell.

  • Publication number: 20160354626
Abstract: A system for providing an automatic fire extinguishing system including a tank filled with an extinguishing agent with a targeting system with independently mounted targeting servos and targeting gimbal to position an emitter. A microcontroller provides control signals to the targeting servos and an actuation valve. A plurality of temperature sensors electrically connected to the microcontroller send temperature data to the microcontroller which calculates target angles and sends the target angle to the targeting gimbal. The emitter is positioned by the targeting servo positioning the targeting gimbal armatures to the target angles. The microcontroller compares sensor temperature data a predetermined temperature value and sends an open signal to the actuation valve when a sensor temperature data is greater than the predetermined temperature value. The extinguishing agent flows from the tank to the emitter, where it is discharged.

  • Patent number: 8187545
Abstract: An hourglass-shaped cavitation chamber is provided. The chamber is comprised of two large spherical regions separated by a smaller cylindrical region. Coupling the regions are two transitional sections which are preferably smooth and curved. Although the chamber is preferably fabricated from a machinable material, such as a metal, it can also be fabricated from a fragile material, such as a glass. An acoustic driver assembly is incorporated within the chamber wall at one end of the cavitation chamber. The driver can be threadably coupled to the chamber or attached using an epoxy, diffusion bonding, brazing or welding. O-rings or other seals can be used to seal the driver to the chamber. The head surface of the driver assembly can be flush, recessed, or extended from the internal chamber surface. The head surface of the driver assembly can be flat or shaped. If desired, a second acoustic driver assembly can be incorporated within the chamber wall at the other end of the cavitation chamber.
