  • Patent number: 11002172
Abstract: A exhaust-gas heat management system includes a catalytic converter in the exhaust-gas train of an internal-combustion engine, a cover enclosing the catalytic converter, and thereby realizing a cavity for holding a latent-heat storage PCM, at least two fluid connections between the cavity and the collecting vessel, and a pump device for activating and deactivating a PCM circuit between the cavity and the collecting vessel by means of the fluid connections. A method comprises determining an operating state of the internal combustion engine, determining the catalytic converter temperature, determining the PCM temperature, activating the PCM circuit if the PCM temperature is above a phase transition temperature of the PCM, and the internal combustion engine is in a switched-on operating state or the internal combustion engine is in a switched-off operating state and the catalytic converter temperature is below a light-off temperature of the catalytic converter.

  • Patent number: 10922743
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for performing actions based on user activation of custom user interface (“UI”) controls. A user of a networked computing service may activate a custom UI control by selecting the custom UI control (such as by touching the custom UI control displayed on a touchscreen display) to trigger the networked computing service to perform a predefined action associated with the custom UI control. In the event that the predefined action cannot be performed, the networked computing service may identify an alternative action that may be performed instead of the predefined action, optionally request user confirmation of the alternative action, and perform the alternative action.

  • Publication number: 20200378781
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to dynamically analyzing data and conditions associated with the movement of a vehicle. A processor may evaluate vehicle location and speed information when identifying an amount of navigation data to send to a computer at a vehicle. The amount of information sent to the computer may vary based on the vehicle speed, a type of road that the vehicle is able to drive along, or may vary based on other attributes. The information sent to the computer may also relate to an area that the vehicle is anticipated to move through in a given time frame. Mapping data sent to the vehicle computer may be associated with a larger area when a vehicle is moving at a faster speed and may be associated with a smaller area when the vehicle is moving at a slower speed.

  • Patent number: 10807325
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of fabricating a composite structure using a pre-cured composite stiffener and a dry fabric component. In one example, the method includes the steps of: wrapping an adhesive film and a resin film around an edge of said pre-cured composite stiffener; inserting the edge of said pre-cured composite stiffener into a clevis of a dry fabric component to form a composite structure assembly; securing the pre-cured composite stiffener substantially perpendicularly to the base portion of the dry fabric component; and starting a consolidated infusion and cure process. The consolidated infusion and cure process applies a first temperature to the composite structure assembly for a first predetermined period of time to infuse the dry fabric component, and the increases the first temperature to a second temperature for a second predetermined period of time to cure the composite structure assembly.

  • Publication number: 20200272316
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for creating custom user interface (“UP”) controls. A networked computing service may determine that an action performed by a user of the service is likely to be repeated, based on previous actions performed by the user and/or other users, parameters of the action including characteristics of an item associated with the action, and other criteria. The networked computing service may generate, or recommend generation of, a custom UI control that automates performance of the action. The networked computing service may automatically determine parameters of the action, and may determine alternative parameters and/or alternative actions if the action cannot be performed using the determined parameters. Custom UI controls may be associated with various computing devices and/or other electronic devices, and categories of custom UI controls may be determined and displayed.

  • Publication number: 20200253875
Abstract: The invention provides methods for the preparation of particles including one or more agents, e.g., therapeutic or diagnostic agents. The particles can be formed by creating droplets of a first liquid, e.g., including an agent, and removing the first liquid, e.g., through its dispersal in a second liquid and/or evaporation, to solidify the droplets. Advantageously, the process of forming the particles does not significantly alter the structure or activity of the agents and may enhance the stability of the agents. For example, the particles may be stored for long periods of time without significant loss of activity, and in some embodiments, without the need for refrigeration. These particles may be used to generate stabilized pharmaceutical compositions for storage or other logistical purposes, pharmaceutical suspensions, pharmaceutical powder formulations (e.g., inhalable powders, injectable powders), creams or other topical pastes, nutraceuticals, or cosmetics.

  • Publication number: 20200241871
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods managing firmware versions of user devices that are enrolled in an enterprise mobility management system. The system can include a management server that sends profiles to enrolled devices, causing those devices to restrict further firmware updates and register with a firmware server. The management server can retrieve available firmware versions and display those in a console. An administrator can select target firmware versions in the console. The management server can the cause the enrolled devices to update to the target firmware versions. This can include sending a call from the management server to the firmware server, causing an automatic update. It can also include sending a command from the management server to an enrolled device, causing the enrolled device to prompt a user prior to requesting a firmware update.

  • Patent number: 10586387
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for the generation and editing of layer delineations within three-dimensional tomography scans. Cross sections of a subject are generated and presented to an operator, who has the ability to edit layer delineations within the cross section, or determine parameters used to generate new cross sections. By guiding an operator through a set of displayed cross sections, the methods can allow for a more rapid, efficient, and error-free segmentation of the subject. The cross sections can be nonplanar in shape or planar and non-axis-aligned. The cross sections can be restricted to exclude one or more user-defined regions of the subject, or to include only one or more user-defined regions of the subject. The cross sections can be localized to a point-of-interest. Iterative implementations of the methods can be used to arrive at a segmentation deemed satisfactory by the user.
