  • Patent number: 6450729
Abstract: A crack repair method for pavement and recreational surfaces includes a slip layer formed over a filled crack which prevents the adhesion of at least one stretchable sheet to the crack while wider outer edges of the sheet are bonded to the top pavement surface. Optionally a second wider stretchable sheet is adhesively applied over the first sheet. Outer edges of the uppermost stretchable sheet are optionally covered by fiberglass fabric strips. In one aspect, the slip layer is formed of one or more tape strips adhesively joined on one side to the filled crack and to the top surface of the pavement surrounding the filled crack.
