The housing has an elongated cylindrical body extending along a center axis between a base end and a top end. The microphone(s) are mounted in the top end and the speaker(s) are mounted proximal to the base end. A control knob is rotatably mounted to the top end of the housing to rotate about the center axis. A light indicator is arranged on the control knob to exhibit various appearance states to provide visual feedback with respect to the one or more functions being performed by the assistant. In one case, the light indicator is used to uniquely identify participants involved in a call.

A remote system receives a local audio signal representing sound captured from an environment from a local audio device and a remote audio signal representing sound captured from the environment from the remote audio device. The server determines a delay associated with the local audio signal and a delay associated with the remote audio signals and, based on the delays, synchronizes the audio being output by the local and remote devices.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to routers and quality of service (QoS) systems and methods that base decisions on the identification of one or more users of computing devices within the environment. Profiles and/or attributes associated with the users may be created and dynamically updated to optimize user experience. For example, the routers may dynamically adapt QoS settings to regulate bandwidth, latency and other parameters to prioritize users and/or optimize a specific user's experience based on the user's priority, personal profile, and/or other attributes.

The media device control profiles may specify mapping of particular buttons on the remote control to particular functions on the media device, designate a communication path to use, and so forth.

Abstract: A system for navigating content may be responsive to movement of a hand by a user toward and away from a display surface. The content may be visually arranged and presented as a stack of visual panes. Moving the hand away from the display surface causes the panes to move upwardly through the stack. Moving the hand toward the display surface causes the panes to move downwardly through the stack. When moving upward, the otherwise topmost pane is deactivated and hidden. Upon reaching the top of the stack, a pane is activated and displayed in full.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for secure configuration provisioning of network credentials to configure a device to join one or more networks. One implementation provides for distribution of network credentials to associated devices without user intervention while maintaining security and avoiding distribution of the network credentials to external devices, such as a third-party server. Devices may be associated by purchase from a common merchant, registration to a common account, and so forth.
