  • Publication number: 20170064240
Abstract: A network-accessible computer comprises a network-communications interface configured to receive player-position data via a computer network. The player-position data indicates a multi-dimensional position for each of a plurality of players participating a sporting event. The network-accessible computer further comprises a logic machine configured to derive auxiliary information from at least the player-position data, the auxiliary information not included in the player-position data and indicating specific attributes for one or more of the plurality of players during a period of game activity in the sporting event. The logic machine packages the auxiliary information with the player-position data into a client-readable data package usable by a client computing device to construct a user interface visualizing at least the player-position data and auxiliary information. The logic machine sends the client-readable data package to the client computing device via the network-communications interface.

  • Patent number: 9462346
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a customizable channel guide, and more specifically, a personalized channel guide for a user, are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, indications of types of content for which the user has an interest are received. Information about content that is available for viewing is accessed. Personalized channels for the user are generated based on the received indications of the types of content for which the user has an interest and based on the information about content that is available for viewing. Each separate personalized channel provides the user with access to a separate type of content for which the user has an interest. A listing of at least some of the personalized channels is displayed to thereby enable the user to select one of the personalized channels.

  • Publication number: 20140325565
Abstract: A client system obtains video content data from a remote system and obtains or determines corresponding video time data. Additionally, the client system obtains contextual content data and corresponding contextual time data from a remote system. The client system identifies portions of the contextual content data that are temporally related to portions of the video content data based on the contextual time data and the video time data. Further, the client system displays a portion of the video content data on the display device. Additionally, based on results of the identifying, while displaying the portion of the video content data on the display device, the client system also displays, alongside the portion of the video content data, a portion of the contextual content data that is relevant to the portion of the video content data being displayed on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20060058164
Abstract: A sports training system includes a supporting structure, a first moving element supported by the supporting structure so as to be moveable relative to the supporting structure along a first path, a second moving element supported by the first moving element so as to be moveable relative to the first moving element along a second path different from the first path, and a punching bag suspended below the first moving element by the second moving element. The punching bag is moveable to any point within an area defined by the first and second paths when a trainee strikes the punching bag, thereby mimicking movements of an opponent. One or more elastic elements can be attached between the punching bag and the supporting structure for returning the punching bag to a desired region within the area.

  • Patent number: 6524304
Abstract: An apparatus for introducing one or more branch fluid lines into IV tubing is disclosed. The apparatus including a pair of first and second fluidic blocks having a pair of contact surfaces that may be arranged to respectively engage each other in sealing contact. At least one cutting member is operatively moveable through, or connected, to the other block. In a two cutting member embodiment, a conduit extends between two cutting members and has opposite open ends in communication with an outer side of the associated cutting member. As the second block contact surface is moved towards the first block contact surface, the cutting members cut a portion of the IV tubing extending between the grooves. As cutting occurs, the cut end of the tubing sealingly engages with an associated open end of the conduit to thereby provide for uninterrupted fluid communication through the IV tubing. facilitate connection of IV extension lines by simply connecting the extension line to the conduit through the fluid port.
