  • Publication number: 20230154481
Abstract: A method of real-time noise reduction including generating spectral data using temporally localized spectral representations of a received audio signal, determining detection of voice by comparing first and second filtered data, and generating noise-reduced audio output by attenuating noise based on the determined detection of voice. The first and second filtered data are formed by attenuating temporal variations of the spectral data based on, respectively, a first timescale and a second timescale. A noise reduction system, comprising processing circuitry configured to execute a method of real-time noise reduction to generate an output that is transmitted via an output port of the noise reduction system. A noise-reduction microphone comprising a housing having a transducer coupled to a processor therein to execute a method of real-time noise reduction, and an output port. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions to cause a processor to perform a method of real-time noise reduction.

  • Patent number: 11623771
Abstract: A satellite is provided, configured for stacking with another similarly designed satellite and to facilitate separation thereof. The satellite comprises a housing for carrying functional components, having a plurality of pairing arrangements and a separation arrangement. Each of the pairing arrangements comprises a post extending perpendicularly to a horizontal plane of the housing, and first and second guide members. First guide members of the satellite are configured to couple with second guide members of the other satellite when stacked therewith. The separation arrangement comprises a thrust element configured to impart an ejection force to facilitate the separation, and a release assembly configured to selectively facilitate allowing the ejection force to propel one of the satellites, thereby initiating the separation. The first guide member of the satellite cooperates with the second guide member of the other satellite to deflect it from the horizontal plane during separation.

  • Patent number: 10592611
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for automatically extracting conversational structure from a voice record based on lexical and acoustic features. The system also aggregates business-relevant statistics and entities from a collection of spoken conversations. The system may infer a coarse-level conversational structure based on fine-level activities identified from extracted acoustic features. The system improves significantly over previous systems by extracting structure based on lexical and acoustic features. This enables extracting conversational structure on a larger scale and finer level of detail than previous systems, and can feed an analytics and business intelligence platform, e.g. for customer service phone calls. During operation, the system obtains a voice record. The system then extracts a lexical feature using automatic speech recognition (ASR). The system extracts an acoustic feature.

  • Patent number: 9922002
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a computing system. The computing system includes a processor and a computer-readable storage medium. The computer-readable storage medium stores instructions which when executed by the processor cause the processor to perform a method. The method comprises obtaining from a first data structure one or more pointers to corresponding elements in a second data structure. A respective vertex of a graph corresponds to an element in the first data structure and the graph supports multiple edge types between respective vertex pairs. The method further comprises obtaining from the second data structure a respective edge type associated with a respective vertex and a respective successor vertex of the edge type and enumerating a respective successor vertex of an edge type of a vertex from the second data structure based on a pointer in an element in the first data structure associated with the vertex.

  • Patent number: 9762935
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide for protocol independent asset insertion decisioning. One embodiment provides for communicatively coupling a plurality of COD providers to a request manager and communicatively coupling a plurality of ADSs to the request manager. Some of the COD providers have different communication protocols. The request manager processes requests from the COD content providers for asset insertions from the ADSs according to the communication protocols of the COD providers, receives asset insertion decisions from the ADSs, and conveys the asset insertion decisions of the ADSs to the COD providers. The request manager then processes a request from a first of the COD providers to switch from a first of the ADSs to a second of the ADSs, directs the second ADS to perform an asset insertion decision on behalf of the first COD provider, and conveys the asset insertion decision from the second ADS to the first COD provider.
