    Abstract: A labyrinth seal includes a first annular member positioned on a center axis and a second annular member disposed circumferentially around the first annular member. A seal land is disposed on one of the first annular member and the second annular member. The seal land is positioned radially between the first annular member and the second annular member relative the center axis. A seal plate is disposed on the other of the first annular member and the second annular member. The seal plate extends radially toward the seal land and includes a plate body extending between a base and a tip of the seal plate. The plate body extends along a majority of a radial span of the seal plate on a first plane. The tip of the seal plate extends axially and radially away from the plate body on a second plane.
