Patent number: 11671783Abstract: Various embodiments include a directional awareness audio communication system and method. The system may include remote speaker/transmitting device(s) and listener/receiving device(s). The speaker/transmitting device(s) may send real-time location information with audio or separate from the audio to the listener/receiving device(s). The listener/receiving device(s) use the speaker/transmitting device(s) location information relative to the listener/receiving device location and orientation to perform audio processing on the transmitted audio signal. The listener/receiving device(s) provide the processed audio signal in stereo (i.e., at least two speakers such as left and right headphones, vehicle speakers, control center speakers, surround sound speakers, etc.) to a user of the listener/receiving device. The listener/receiving device(s) provides a warning and outputs standard audio if the real-time location information of the speaker/transmitting device(s) is unavailable or unreliable.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2021Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: OTTO ENGINEERING, INC.Inventors: Daniel F. Stanek, Bernard L. Knych

Patent number: 8810420Abstract: An open fuse block is provided having a visual indicator or light assembly connected in parallel with a replaceable fuse mounted in the fuse block. When the fuse is blown, the corresponding visual indicator is illuminated to identify the blown fuse, thereby facilitating quick and easy replacement of the fuse. Since the visual indicator is connected in parallel with the fuse element, when the fuse is blown, the fuse results in an open circuit and the flow of electricity is rerouted through the visual indicator. The visual indicator is thereby illuminated and the corresponding blown fuse can be easily identified. The visual indicator or light assembly can include, for example, a neon bulb, light emitting diode, fluorescent bulb, incandescent bulb, or any other visual indicator that emits light.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2012Date of Patent: August 19, 2014Assignee: Littelfuse, Inc.Inventors: Daniel F. Stanek, Nathan C. Siegwald, Thomas M. Novak, Christopher J. Miller, Daniel R. Gilman, William F. Gonzalez, Jesse D. Rednour

Patent number: 7448338Abstract: A dock fender support bracket includes a cup-like holder section having a sidewall and a bottom wall and a pair of axially aligned holes through the sidewall. In one embodiment, the support bracket includes a clevis section having a body with spaced flanges oriented inside of the cup-like holder section and extending in parallel planes. In another embodiment, the support bracket is integrally molded. An elongate section of the support bracket is configured to be attached to a dock and to elastically flex in all directions transverse of a longitudinal axis thereof. The elongate section can be formed of a hollow or solid resin, and can include spring or metal reinforcement. The support bracket is configured to support the dock fender at the cup-like holder section. A resilient insert can support a rod-mounted fender.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2006Date of Patent: November 11, 2008Assignee: Buoyant Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Robert E. Stewart, Daniel F. Stanek
