  • Publication number: 20130162796
Abstract: Described are imaging apparatus and methods for imaging an area of interest, such as selected regions on a surface of a human or other living subject, by thermal and non-thermal means. Methods of using the apparatus to detect and monitor wounds in an area of interest on a subject are also described. The apparatus and methods have particular utility for detection and monitoring of ulcerations and general wound degradations, as well as of conditions that could result in formation of such lesions.

  • Publication number: 20070027776
Abstract: A system and method for distributing media content. Transactions for the purchase of content units can be consummated while users sample the content through a player device. For example, a listener of satellite radio could decide to purchase a song currently being played on the receiver. In some embodiments, content can be downloaded on a back channel before the sampling activities are complete (e.g. before the song is finished).

  • Publication number: 20060281499
Abstract: The power consumed by a light source associated with a device can be reduced by selectively influencing the activation and deactivation of the light source. A label associated with a unit of content that is “playable” on the device can selectively influence the activation and deactivation of the device. By a way of example, a light source associated with a satellite radio could automatically turn on when a new song starts to play. Different embodiments can involve vastly different types of content, remote devices, and activation/deactivation triggers.

  • Publication number: 20060133465
Abstract: A system for receiving a satellite digital radio signal, the system comprising: a repeater having a unibody housing and an antenna disposed within the housing, the antenna being configured for receiving the satellite digital radio signal; a repeater circuit for receiving the satellite digital radio signal of the antenna, the repeater circuit being configured to condition and re-transmit the satellite digital radio signal as a first signal containing audio data capable of being transmitted through electrical wiring; a satellite digital radio signal receiver having a receiver circuit being configured to receive the first signal; and wherein the receiver circuit receives the first signal from a power cable of the satellite digital radio signal receiver.

  • Publication number: 20060063559
Abstract: A method includes receiving current location and heading information, receiving threshold range, and bearing values, receiving an incident report corresponding to a traffic incident at a location of interest, and selectively retaining the incident report if the point of interest is within the threshold range and bearing values.
