  • Patent number: 9015313
Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to identifying content accessed on a computing device that is likely actionable on another computing device. Some implementations are directed to methods and apparatus for identifying a computing device of a user, identifying content accessed on another computing device by the user, determining content that is actionable on the computing device, determining a confidence level that the actionable content is of interest to the user, and providing the actionable content for use on the computing device if the confidence level satisfies a threshold. The confidence level may be based on an indication of time passage between the user accessing the content on the other computing device and the identified use of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 8533266
Abstract: In one example, a method includes receiving a first group of indications associated with a first group of modalities and a second group of indications associated with a second group of modalities. The method also includes determining a confidence value for at least one modality of the first or second groups of modalities based at least in part on an indication associated with the at least one modality. The confidence value may indicate a likelihood that a first user associated with the first remote computing device is within a physical presence of a second user associated with the second remote computing device. The method may also include, performing an operation to indicate that the first user associated with the first remote computing device is within a physical presence of the second user associated with the second remote computing device.

  • Patent number: 8510381
Abstract: A device receives shared data that identifies resources shared by users of nearby devices. The device outputs a user interface that contains a private area and a public area. The public area includes one or more display elements. Each of the display elements in the public area represents one of the resources shared by one of the users of one of the nearby devices. A user of the device may move the display element that represents a given resource from the public area to the private area. When the user moves the display element to the private area, the device performs an action associated with the given resource.

  • Patent number: 8447516
Abstract: A server device may receive from a first computing device current location information associated with the first computing device. The server device may estimate a travel radius of a second computing device based at least in part on location information previously received from the second computing device, and may determine that the travel radius of the second computing device overlaps a proximity radius of the first computing device. The server device may query the second computing device for updated location information. The server device may receive the updated location information for the second computing device, and may determine that the second computing device is physically located substantially within the proximity radius of the first computing device based at least in part on the updated location information. In response, the server device may send to the first computing device an identification of the second computing device.
