Patent number: 11988784Abstract: An example involves detecting, during a time period by a receiving device, an audio signal comprising a superposition of a plurality of audio signals transmitted by a plurality of respective playback devices. The example further comprises determining a time-frequency representation of the audio signal and obtaining data associating playback devices with respective reference audio signals, each reference audio signal having a predefined time-frequency representation. The example further comprises, based on the time-frequency representation of the audio signal and the data, determining that the audio signal comprises a superposition of a first audio signal transmitted by a first playback device and a second audio signal transmitted by a second playback device.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2021Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: Sonos, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Jones, Richard Bannon, Jake Harwood, Jonathan Herbst, Henry Sia

Patent number: 7784772Abstract: A spring system has a first pulling part with a first fastening element connected by a tension spring to a second pulling part with a second fastening element. The pulling parts are moveable relative to one another so as to increase or relieve stressing on the tension spring. A damping device damps the movement of the pulling parts in relation to one another. A cylinder is fastened on the first pulling part and a piston 3 is axially displacesably arranged therein, subdividing the interior of the cylinder into a first cylinder chamber and a second cylinder chamber. A piston rod connected to the piston is arranged on the second pulling part. The interior of the cylinder is connected to the surroundings via one or more restrictor openings.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2006Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Stabilus GmbHInventors: Axel Knopp, Karl-Heinz Darscheid, Stefan Bonnekessel, Rainer Massmann, Rolf Mintgen, Torsten Rickenberg, Jörg-Erwin Scheuer, Dirk Schweinberger, Daniel Herbst, Joachim Völlinger

Patent number: 7713111Abstract: A device for supplying water to a cutting wheel of a hand-held cut-off machine has a water-conducting line and a valve arrangement arranged in the line. The valve arrangement has a shut-off valve for controlling the water flow flowing through the line. The shut-off valve is actuated as a function of an operating signal of the cut-off machine such that in operation of the cut-off machine the water flow through the line is released by the shut-off valve. The shut-off valve interrupts the water flow through the line when the operating signal is absent.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2006Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: Andreas Stihl AG & Co. KGInventors: Wolfgang Layher, Frank Berbig, Georg Maier, Harald Mang, Daniel Herbst

Patent number: 7490587Abstract: A portable handheld work apparatus has a drive motor as well as an adjusting element for controlling the drive motor. The work apparatus has at least one actuating element. A movement of the actuating element is transmitted to the adjusting element via a transmitting unit. A good operator control is achieved when at least one transmitting characteristic (49, 50; 89, 90; 309, 310) of the transmitting unit runs nonlinearly as a function of the actuating displacement (s) of the actuating element.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2007Date of Patent: February 17, 2009Assignee: Andreas Stihl AG & Co. KGInventors: Heiko Rosskamp, Georg Maier, Volker Reber, Alexander Erkert, Daniel Herbst, Marcus Saak, Dirk Schweinberger

Patent number: 6293239Abstract: A valve gear for charge cycle valves of internal combustion engines has a camshaft whose cam acts on a valve stem of a charge cycle valve via a bucket tappet which is guided in a cylinder head and on which an inner tappet is supported via a first pressure spring. A switchable coupling element can be used to couple the bucket tappet to the inner tappet. In the decoupled state, the charge cycle valve is not actuated if it is driven only via the bucket tappet. A clamping ring which has a conical surface with self-locking is provided as a switchable coupling element. The clamping device can be released with the aid of a slight oil pressure when the charge cycle valve is closed. Consequently, with the aid of simple means there is achieved, in a small overall space, a switch-off or changeover device for charge cycle valves which has only slight friction losses and can be effectively sealed because of the low oil pressures for actuation.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 1999Date of Patent: September 25, 2001Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AGInventor: Daniel Herbst
