    Abstract: The present invention provides an encapsulated dentifrice comprising an edible capsule within which is contained a substantially anhydrous, oil based dentifrice composition and an abrasive agent suitable for removal of plaque. The capsule is water soluble and oil insoluble, and is particularly useful for travellers, and the like. A preferred oil based dentifrice composition includes a source of vitamin E.
