  • Patent number: 9340214
Abstract: A system for remotely controlling a machine includes a remote input device, a transmitter remote from the machine, and a receiver at the machine. A controller is configured to store a desired communications threshold, receive input commands from the remote input device, generate a plurality of remote control input signals based upon the input commands, and transmit the plurality of remote control input signals at a location remote from the machine. The controller is further configured to receive at least some of the plurality of remote control input signals at the machine, determine a communications parameter based upon at least one of the plurality of remote control input signals, compare the communications parameter to the desired communications threshold, and generate a command to stop the machine if the communications parameter is outside the desired communications threshold.

  • Patent number: 9228321
Abstract: A system for remotely operating a machine includes a plurality of remote control input devices including a propulsion input device. A controller generates an operator generated propulsion command to propel the machine and generates continued propulsion commands to continue to propel the machine without additional propulsion signals from a propulsion input device. The controller determines an interval since the generation of a previous remote input signal at the remote control unit and generates a change in operation command signal if the interval since the generation of the previous remote input signal exceeds an input signal absence threshold.

  • Publication number: 20140240506
Abstract: A display system for presenting information relating to the remote monitoring and operation of machines is provided. The display includes a display screen configured to include a main section adapted to display video image data relating to a selected monitored machine. A first side section is arranged along a first edge of the display screen and adapted to display respective video image data associated with each of a plurality of monitored machines. A second side section is arranged along a second edge of the display screen and adapted to display video image data relating to a worksite.

  • Patent number: 8089345
Abstract: A power and data delivery system for a machine. The system includes a conductor located throughout at least a portion of the machine for delivering power, a plurality of nodes, each connected to the conductor at a respective location, and a plurality of devices, each connected to a corresponding node. At least one node controls the delivery of power and data by way of a message containing a unique identifier for that one node.

  • Patent number: 4000241
Abstract: Expanded perlite particles and vermiculite particles are treated with an acid solution and then with waterglass. The moist material is introduced into any insulating cavity and allowed to dry, whereupon it self-adheres into a solid insulating sheet which also adheres to the surrounding cavity surfaces. The moist material is also used to make molded articles which are then treated further with an acid solution to render them stable.
