  • Publication number: 20200361169
Abstract: The invention relates to a laminating device (10) and a laminating method for laminating at least one layer stack (11), comprising at least one substantially plate-shaped workpiece (11a) and at least one adhesive material layer (11b), by means of pressure and/or heat. The laminating device comprises a lower part (12) and an upper part that can be connected to the lower part (12) in a gas-tight manner. A working chamber (14) which can be opened and closed and which is for receiving the layer stack (11) during lamination is formed between the lower part (12) and the upper part (13). A pressure plate (15) can be moved along a press axis (a-a) in the working chamber (14) between the upper part (13) and the lower part (12). At least one sealing frame (21) is arranged between the lower part (12) and the upper part (13).

  • Patent number: 6726006
Abstract: A flask-shaped package or container for packaging smoking articles, such as cigarettes, has a generally parallelepiped shape with slightly curved front and back body panels. The container comprises a body and a lid integrally molded in one-piece of a plastic material with an open bottom having an internal peripheral shoulder and a base made of a separate plastic/metal foil laminate that is bonded to the shoulder by induction heating a heat-activated adhesive covering the metal foil of the base. The body has a central internal front-to-back stiffening rib and an access opening in its top and front panels with a surrounding ledge to which is adhesively bonded a removable foil closure. After the access opening is closed with the foil closure, cigarettes are inserted into the container body through the open bottom thereof.

  • Publication number: 20010042808
Abstract: A linear traverse mechanism for guiding the spooling of a flexible linear product at high speed, made possible by reducing the inertial load of the mechanism while reducing the angular deflection of the filament. The mechanism includes a pivotally mounted guide arm controlled by an electric motor having precision indexing ratio characteristics to compensate for linear error. In one embodiment, the linear product is fed through a guiding means carried by said traverse arm to be discharged adjacent a receiving spool.
