  • Publication number: 20240050894
Abstract: A catalyst cell includes a main body having a sidewall extending around a cavity sized to receive catalyst material. An inlet and an outlet are located at the sidewall, with both being in communication with the cavity, and the outlet being spaced from the inlet. A compaction plate is positionable within the cavity adjacent the catalyst material, with the compaction plate and the main body collectively defining a volume of the cavity. The compaction plate is moveable relative to the main body to facilitate variation in the volume of the cavity. A spring is operatively connected to the compaction plate and is configured to impart a force on the compaction plate to facilitate adjustment of the volume of the cavity in response to breakdown of catalyst material within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 5649935
Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic percussion device, of the type including:an ultrasonic wave generator, terminated by an unit (6) transmitting the vibration generated;a wire (8), the near end of which is carried by said unit and the far end of which is set into percussive movement; andlinking means (7) for immobilizing the near end of said wire in said generator unit.According to the invention, said unit (6) is produced from an elastically deformable material and said linking means (7) are formed on said unit in such a way as to form an integral part of the latter, said linking means being capable of occupying a spontaneously close-together position, for which the near end (8A) of said wire (8) is clamped by said unit, and a position deliberately spaced apart by actuation means (14) for which the near end (8A) of said wire can be freed from said unit or engaged in said unit.
