  • Publication number: 20240105306
Abstract: A surgical instrument operable to sever tissue includes a body assembly and a selectively coupleable end effector assembly. The end effector assembly may include a transmission assembly and an end effector. The body assembly includes a trigger and a casing configured to couple with the transmission assembly. An information transmission system transmits instrument information received from a sensor, for example, to a secure server via a secure gateway connected to the instrument. The instrument may be previously tested on a calibration kit to pre-determine and load surgeon-specific settings onto the instrument prior to use.

  • Patent number: 11930555
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are set forth for providing digital and non-digital content to a segment of a population that is identified using geolocation data and other activity data. In some implementations, non-digital content is delivered via postal mail to a segment of a population according to whether the segment of the population viewed certain content before, during, or after visiting a particular geographic location. In other implementations, digital content, such as phone calls or voice messages, can be delivered to a segment of a population according whether the segment of the population is present or has recently been present at a particular location and previously viewed certain content associated with the location. Segmenting populations in this way can conserve computational resources and materials that might otherwise be wasted on serving a larger population that may have less of an interest in the content.

  • Patent number: 11918302
Abstract: An interactive control unit is disclosed. The interactive control unit includes an interactive touchscreen display, an interface configured to couple the control unit to a surgical hub, a processor, and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to receive input commands from the interactive touchscreen display located inside a sterile field and transmit the input commands to the surgical hub to control devices coupled to the surgical hub located outside the sterile field.

  • Publication number: 20240058641
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing an adjustable amount of tension to various portions of a body of a user. The tension can be exhibited by cables that extend from the body mounted device. The cables can be routed through a pulley assembly located with cables guides of the body mounted device. A user can adjust the tension of the cables using knobs located at the ends of the cable guides. The cables can terminate at bands, which can be attached to appendages of the user during training. When the user is wearing the body mounted device, a mounting plate of the body mounted device can conform to the shoulders of the user, and a separate plate of the body mounted device can be depressed against a back side of the user.

  • Publication number: 20190022452
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing linear tension to multiple areas of a person to improve training and exercise. The tension can be applied by cables supplied from cable spools that are attached within a resistance assembly. The resistance assembly can be worn as a backpack during exercises, thereby providing a portable means through which tension can be provided to the body. The cables from the resistance assembly can be attached to appendages such as the wrists and legs of the person, and the tension provided by the cables can be adjustable. For instance, the tension can be made non-uniform across the body in order to improve the person's ability to maneuver in situations where there is an imbalance of force on the body.
