  • Patent number: 11985504
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the area of telecommunication, and in particular to methods for reporting network dysfunction in a wireless communication network (1). According to a first aspect of embodiments herein it is provided a method, for use in a wireless communication device (10), for reporting network dysfunction. The method comprises obtaining information defining radio communication properties (e.g. use of a relaying wireless communication device (30)) for use when reporting network dysfunction in a wireless communication network (1). The method further comprises detecting network dysfunction, and sending a report indicating the detected network dysfunction e.g. to a radio network node 20 using the obtained radio communication properties. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding radio network node (20) and wireless communication devices (10), (30) and to a computer program for implementing the proposed method.

  • Patent number: 11930412
Abstract: A wireless communication network (102) can employ techniques for the network (102) to indicate specific radio access characteristics to be used by a user equipment (100) 5 when responding to a paging message. The network (102) can indicate a specific radio access technology (RAT) that the UE (100) should use when connecting to the network (102). In this manner, the UE (100) can initiate a connection using the desired RAT rather than first initiating a connection with an incorrect RAT and performing a handover or network reconfiguration.

  • Patent number: 11431779
Abstract: The media production element (12) combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element (12) can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device (42) can determine event-coordinated uplink network assistance data with the goal of prioritizing resource allocation to clients/electronic devices that currently are used for the combined media production, and assign less resources to those that are not currently used. Rather than optimizing individual links, the event-coordinated uplink network assistance data is determined by taking the aggregated capacity and the production needs of the media production element (12) into account.

  • Patent number: 11368512
Abstract: The media production element combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device can provide feedback to the media production element regarding network conditions for the electronic devices that are registered to an event. Such feedback can prevent bad network connections from affecting the final media production by helping the media production element to decide which data stream to use in the production and when to switch from an electronic device that can be on its way to losing optimum radio conditions.

  • Patent number: 11206298
Abstract: The media production element combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. • Patent number: 11115883
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for network-controlled UE filtering of detected cell reporting. The network instructs currently-connected UEs to only report neighboring cells that meet network-defined mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria. In response to receiving such instructions from the network, the UEs will apply the filtering criteria to at least the data associated with neighboring cells and, in some embodiments, data of the UE to determine which of the neighboring cells meet the filtering criteria. Once the UEs have determined that one or more neighboring cells meets the filtering criteria, the UEs communicate a detected cell report back to the network, which, according to specific embodiments of the invention, may be limited to identification of the neighboring cells that meet the mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria.
