  • Patent number: 7546605
Abstract: The invention is applied in a software management system. It comprises an MBean server (2100) which enables the management of Java object e.g. Dynamic MBean by introspecting the Dynamic MBean and providing the result of the introspection in an MbeanInfo object (3108). The invention permits to manage non-MBean object (3106) via the MBean server (2100) and a new object called Automanager (3105). The automanager (3105) inherits the specificities of a Dynamic MBean by implementing a Dynamic MBean interface (3107). Moreover, the Automanager (3105) receives the non-MBean object (3106) as parameter in its constructor. Thus, all management possibilities of a Dynamic MBean are retrieved to render the non-MBean object manageable.

  • Patent number: 7346899
Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention, at a Deployer level, an application software component is provided with a tree representation 510 of objects it contains. An object is a leaf node, with the attributes of the object being in nexus between the root and the leaf node. An accessor object 511 has methods to access the tree 510. In one embodiment of the present invention, at an administrator level, a handler object 611 in turn accesses accessor object 511. Handler object 611 may be part of a handler home object 619. Client applications 710 have lookup services 711 to access handler objects like 611, e.g. via a lookup home object 719, and handler home object 619.

  • Patent number: 5504906
Abstract: A process for managing structured objects by an application interface which can furnish a plurality of services. The application interface defines a set of functions and a set of structured objects in public and private forms represented by descriptors and arranged in different classes, each class having a description. The application interface offers service primitives including parameters defined by the objects, and is also useable with other interfaces at different levels. The process uses a representation of private-objects that is substantially identical to the representation of public-objects, the parameters thus being generically handled, a public-object being represented by a descriptor table and a private-object being represented by a descriptor list. Additionally, the process uses a catalog organized according to a list of the various classes supported which allows the functions of the application interface to be automated.
